I design and 3D print custom tools and parts as part of my job and I use a caliper almost on a daily basis. I have 4 other calipers but this one is better and I use it the most. It's built very well, nothing is loose, all stainless steel parts are thick and sturdy. It looks like it would last a long time. Buttons are plastic and clicky with a good feedback, not rubbery and mushy as on other calipers. The large screen makes it very easy to read, even in low light. One of the biggest advantages for me is the CR2032 battery use. These batteries last for a very long time compared to LR44 and are much easier to find. You get 3 batteries with this caliper. I compared its measurements to a Japanese caliper I have and it's just as accurate. I highly recommend buying it. I will add pictures soon. ... show more

I had been using a 40-year-old measuring tool which I kept losing somewhere in the toolboxes. When I eventually did find it, there was always rust trying to form. So, I would have to stop what I was doing and clean up the device so I could use it. Frustrating! This new unit will stay rust free and has a case in which to store it. Makes finding it easier. The main thing I like about this unit is that it has large, easy to read numbers in the display. The measurements can be changed between inch, metric, and fractions of inches.
