This is a gorgeous trench, and I love the removable hood! However, this is a definite pass for the petite crowd. This isn’t normal too big, but it seems to be extra too big. I’m five feet tall and weigh 99 pounds, 34A chest size (not that that matters, but there was TONS of room up top which does affect proportions). I got the smallest size available. The sleeves are significantly too long, so the detail will be lost if you try to alter. The bottom is pretty far down, so if it’s actually raining the water from your feet will splash the hem of the coat. The waist doesn’t hit at the right spot, and I just tied the belt in a knot to get it tight to my frame. Really, it’s a gorgeous and well made coat. If you want to invest the time to alter it, it’s nice, but it most definitely will not fit the smaller crowd out of the package. ... show more

This is a great, lightweight but durable trench coat. It’s a bit long, but that’s because I’m short - 5’3”. I’m 140lbs and a medium fit like a glove. I love the green color, very pretty. I haven’t worn it when it’s windy yet but DOES feel like the type of material that would keep the wind out. The moment I pulled this out of the bag, I had to wear it. It's a beautiful, rich bright plum color and the detailing is exquisite. The hood snaps on and off, which is nice because I don't like hoods (I prefer hats). You can see in the photos that the arms and body run long. I'm 5'5" tall and have the arms of someone much taller, so I usually end up letting out sleeves or making my own clothes. This coat is clearly styled for taller individuals (although it would be easy enough to alter for shorter frames). I love the long length of it. So many rain coats are just too short for good coverage in pouring rain. It has roomy outside pockets and an inside chest pocket. The belt buckle matches the tortoise shell buttons. It has the traditional epaulettes and shoulder flap on the right hand side. It's fully lined and the lining fabric is of good weight and nice and slick. I would take one of these in every color.
