  • Bought a second set up when I temporarily lost my first set.
Of COURSE I found the first set after purchasing the second, but it actually worked out great for my last gig of the summer, as we had a guest playing with us and she didn’t have a pickup. Only problem is that her fiddle is very small/short, and we had to add some bits of cardboard under the feet. There was a connectivity problem with the second set and customer service was AWESOME. Can’t recommend this company and their products enough! Original Review: Love this for the ease of use. I used it for four different gigs, one in a small venue, three in large festival spaces. It was easy for the sound guys to use, easy for me to use, and worked without any fussing whatsoever. I need to sand down the right side of my bridge so I can fit it in there, i didn't have time to experiment before the run of gigs and it's on the lower string side of the bridge, and I want to see if the sound is better on the treble response on the higher string side (as they recommend). Absolutely no complaints from the sound guys or audience members. Three of the sound guys ran it through the mic box at my feet (so it was easy for me to keep track of and to turn on and off as I wished), and the fourth off the board. ... show more

  • Easy Setup - Good Sound Quality
I purchased this to replace a Barcus Berry 3100 Piezo Violin/Viola Pickup due to it horribly muting my violin and poor sound quality. The KNA VV-Wi was very easy to setup and connects quickly. The sound quality is excellent and it does not mute the violin like other pickups. I used it for the first time in church music practice paired with a SB-4 PIEZO active DI, they worked well together. I had no issues with the wireless connection, no sound delays or electrical interference. The piezo sensor is detachable, major plus, when I'm not using the pickup it just unplug it. If there are issues with the piezo sensor it can be easily replaced. Pro's - Lightweight Easy to install Detachable piezo sensor Connects quickly Stays connected Great sound quality Good range Con's - Color is quite red (should be more neutral) Nickle chinrest clamps (not good for allergies) Have to sand down bridge to fit piezo sensor (do this very gradually) ... show more

  • Best Wireless Violin/Viola Pickup!
I purchased a VV-Wi last year, June 30, 2022. I received the package in good condition. Everything works well with the wireless pick up. I use it everyday for work on the ship. The sound is so clear and natural. I prefer having a wireless pick up as I can move freely without tripping on a cable. After several months, I noticed that the quarter inch adaptor started to loosen inside which made it difficult to connect properly to the receiver. I thought about reporting it to KNA customer service and then the following day I got a response already. George Dinkov, the marketing manager of KNA, replied to my e-mail and he willingly provided a replacement for the quarter inch adaptor. They immediately sent me a new one and it arrived after three days. I was super happy. One year has passed and then a new major issue was found. The switch button of the transmitter broke, leaving the unit turned on. I immediately emailed George regarding the issue and to my surprise, he replied in just a couple of hours. He was so humbly accommodating. He told me that they would be sending me a new unit. I was amazed and excited upon hearing that. They immediately sent the new unit and I got it after three days. When the package arrived, I opened it right away and I saw quite difference in terms of workmanship between the old and new. Aesthetically speaking, the new unit is far better than the old one. I posted photos for you to see the difference. I’m talking about the slots for switch button, micro-usb and cable. It’s amazing that they keep on improving the quality and design of their products. I’m super satisfied with the service that KNA provides for their customers. They provide excellent customer service, offering a perfect remedy and solution to every issue or problem that a customer may have in the future. ... show more

  • Charge
We returned for refund as the charge only lasted one hour out of advertised six hours. We are hoping it was only a lemon.

  • Real acoustic sound + freedom of movement
I first bought one of these pickups to replace the typical bar-type piezos on my violin and my kemençe (a traditional Turkish instrument). The difference was like night and day. I've been using it for a year now, and I recently bought two more! First off, using a wireless pickup has been a game-changer. Not only can I move around freely on-stage, I can also make recordings wherever I want: the woods, the beach, even on a boat. The device feels sturdy, and it pairs immediately so I don't have to faff with it. The sound quality is also so much better than I was getting with the bar-type piezos. It's a warmer, less robotic sound. My kemençe sounds like a kemençe now! Finally, the manufacturer has been super responsive to inquiries and questions. Feeling supported as a customer is always important. I highly recommend this pickup for those who want a wireless solution that gives an authentic acoustic sound. I can especially recommend it for those with stringed folk instruments that don't lend themselves well to traditional violin pickups. ... show more
