  • A GREAT Tool/Device
Option: Premium Pen Setup: 64 GB Color: Burgundy Offer Type: Without Pen Replacement Tips
Great addition to the paper tablet market. If Amazon adds some features in the coming months, the KindleScribe could take the lead. It syncs constantly and new PDFs and books are instantly available. I love the ease in adding to my library. I very much like the oversized post it notes that can be add when reading a book, but shrink to keep a clean book page, although I wish I had a choice to write directly on a book page as I can a pdf. I like that I can type and hand write my notes. But also wish that my handwritten notes synced like my typewritten notes, to other devices, such as when I open the book on my laptop. I do like that I can collect all my notes and highlights in a list. Great for teaching. As a professor all my notes travel with me. This is a great tool for educators and professors. I like that my audible books are accessible too. I do wish it could “project” to my laptop like the competitor R2, this is an underrated feature that is great for educators. I would like a better pencil too that mimics the characteristics of a pencil better. I think layers would also make it a stronger competitor. Access to my files on a Google drive or other. And add an interactive daily planner. R2 has one that is transformative, created by a developer. But you have a project planner, so create/get a daily calendar planner. That add on was the clincher for me.But make it a reasonable price point. I do like the ability to have controllable lighting as needed, very nice. I love the custom cover/case. I got the burgundy one. Glad the pen came with it and that it is magnetic and can be secured with the loop on the case. Love those features. I love that I can zoom in on my PDFs, not a feature on the R2. And my handwriting shrinks or grows accordingly in real time, staying proportional. Not sure how it handles other ebooks that are not kindle, but the R2 doesn’t handle kindle books, much to my chagrin; I had a kindle library for decades. Overall, even though I bought the R2 just 5 months ago, I was upset with myself because I was not aware of the KindleScribe. I think I would’ve gotten the Scribe first because it is great in many ways. But since I got the R2 first, I want to suggest to Amazon to upgrade some features then you can takeover this market: layers, projection, other ebooks, write directly on the pages of a book, handwritten notes in books travel with it to other devices, a keyboard perhaps. KEEP your unique good features and add these feature, plus do some marketing to increase awareness, then you got this. I would love to only need on device. So, please take heed. The price point for it and the bundle is perfect. Smart to sell it with the pen. With the R2, I thought a separate pen was shameful, felt they were nickel and diming us, plus they charge for storage of files smh. Love the scribe. Overall, a game changer. Love it and bragging on it to folks. I rarely write reviews. Best wishes on the success of this product. ... show more

  • A Superior Alternative: Kindle Scribe
Option: Premium Pen Setup: 64 GB Color: Black Offer Type: Without Pen Replacement Tips
Having used the reMarkable 2 extensively, I recently switched to the Kindle Scribe, and I must say, the comparison is highly favorable towards the Kindle Scribe. The bundle comes with a 64 GB Kindle Scribe, a Premium Pen, a stylish Leather Folio Cover, and a Power Adapter—all of which enhance the overall user experience significantly. One of the standout features of the Kindle Scribe is its weight; it's incredibly light, making it easy to carry around for long periods. The screen is another major highlight—its readability is excellent with sharp text and clear images that are easy on the eyes, even in various lighting conditions. The inclusion of a Premium Pen, which feels more natural and responsive than many styluses I've used, including that of the reMarkable 2, allows for seamless note-taking and sketching.Cost-wise, the Kindle Scribe offers great value, especially when compared to the reMarkable 2, providing similar or superior features for a more reasonable price. Additionally, the battery life is impressive, easily lasting days on a single charge under regular use, surpassing the reMarkable 2 in longevity. The quality of the Leather Folio Cover and the overall build of the device also deserve praise. They provide a premium feel without compromising the device's usability or portability. Overall, the Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a digital writing and reading tool, offering superior quality and value compared to the reMarkable 2. ... show more

  • Worth every penny!!! And it was a lot of pennies.
Option: Premium Pen Setup: 64 GB Color: Black Offer Type: Without Pen Replacement Tips
Do not mistake what the Kindle Scribe is supposed to be. It is an eReader and a note taking tool. It is not supposed to be anything more than that and thats exactly what it is. I love to read and learn. The kindle scribe helps with both. Once you get the hang of it, it's super easy to use! I can take thousands of books with me anywhere I go. It's not a small device but it's far smaller than carrying around a book or a notebook. It's super slim and sleek. The battery seems to last forever. Weeks or months at a time depending on use. It takes usb-c making it convenient to charge and doesn't take long to charge. I can take it into a meeting or church and easily take notes. I have the leather case for it and it has survived several falls from the back of a couch without taking any damage. Its pricy, but it's worth the money spent! I bought the upgraded pen too and it feels like writing on a piece of paper with a pen. It's lovely. The different writing options (pen, marker, calligraphy pen, pencil, etc.) Are amazing and a lot of fun to play with. It's incredibly easy to export your notebooks in PDF form and shoot them to your email. I've use the feature several times and it's incredibly convenient and user friendly. Also there's plenty of free books on the book store which you can buy directly on the Scribe. Freebooksy is a website that'll send you an email almost daily with some of the free books. I think my favorite feature is being able to press and hold on a word in a book and it'll pull the definition up. No more looking up words or not understanding something because I'm too lazy to look it up. The pen will stick to the side of it magnetically but I'd highly recommend getting a case that'll hold it because it's a magnet it's not super glue. If you don't keep good track of your pen you will lose it. Also I'll say that my original upgraded pen did not work. It would write when the pen was just being held above the surface of the kindle. I tried every fix I could think of and couldn't get it to work. I spoke to amazon customer service through the app and they replaced it free of charge without any hassle! The upgraded pen is also worth the money solely because of the erasing feature. It's far more convenient than switching writing methods to the eraser setting. ... show more
