I had a really difficult time getting this to charge. It would only charge with the cable and adapter provided, none of my other cords work with it. After that it powered on fine, and I had it connected to wifi and playing a movie within a few minutes. So it works fine, I don't hate it. But I've tested about a dozen generic tablet, and this is really at the lower end. It's using an outdated Android 10 release from October 2020 (over 3 years old). The wifi is the outdated b/g/n, and is a tad laggy. It only has 2GB of RAM, and half of that is used up by the operating system. One of many things making it laggy. The speakers are really awful, they're canny and don't have any highs or lows. They're also very weak and difficult to hear. In addition to poor sound, the screen quality is rather low. The colors aren't vibrant, and you have to look at the screen head on to see the image, or else it's washed out. This is not an enjoyable experience trying to watch a movie on this. It's only 4-core CPU, and it's a generic brand from China, not exactly a speed demon (ARMv8, 4x1.46GHz). I've seen similar tablets on Black Friday deals in the range of around thirty buckaroos, and that's about the upper limit of what I believe this is worth. In this day and age you can get a really nice Chromebook for fifty'ish, so it's difficult for me to recommend a much smaller device with sub-par specs. If you can live without Android, the Amazon Fire tabs are much higher quality and a great overall value. If you're like me and need Android, I feel there are probably better deals. ... show more

So, at first I was going to pass on this tablet because the pictures made it seem like a child's toy that came preloaded with generic games. I saw that it said you could download things like Netflix and Hulu and that it operated on the play store so I decided to give it a try. Upon turning it on, it comes with a kid friendly background and children's apps. The system is "android" but can not be updated and the last update is from 2020. The play store works fine despite this and you can download most things including Facebook, pinterest, snapchat, YouTube, Hulu, disney+, etc. Operationally - it's slow. This may be helped with adding more storage (I didn't) but it's likely slow due to the operating system. Does this tablet work? Absolutely. For Kids and adults. Is it top notch? Nah. It's slow and laggy. Is it a good buy at this price point ($50)? 100%. I would have no issues purchasing these for my kids. ... show more

I have an IPad, but wanted something my 2.5 year old could engage in without getting into my stuff on it. This is the perfect answer. He loves it! And as we have all learned even the youngest of kids can master technology better than adults. He has no trouble navigating his way through the pre-loaded learning games.
