2023 standard MDX remote was scratched up all over the backside after first week of having. So glad I found this remote cover. I liked this so much I bought 3 in case it will wear and tear easily. The cover is not a hard plastic but like a protective skin. Looks chrome like, even the purple, but I’m sure that will rub off in a year or so. Very slick looking and I would recommend. When we recently bought a new MDX, we realized just how beaten up the key fob was on the previous Acura. We had that one for 10 years, so it had been through a lot. I thought I'd check to see if I could get something to help protect the new fobs and I found these. Fish they have low key colors like metallic gray or black. These fit perfect and does is job of protecting and also color coordinate two different keys The plastic is flexible but hard Color is definitely screaming bright so help u find the key easier but too showy for my taste overall good.

Well, my husband decided to do the laundry and you guessed it…. he accidentally put the car key in the wash load while we were out of town 500 miles from home where the other key fob was. I found it while putting the laundry in the dryer. After pulling the cover off and pulling the fob battery out letting it sit under a low pressure and heat hair dryer, it worked fine!
