This thing is wild, beyond having cd/dvd capability, and Bluetooth connection, it's astounding. A single press of the cam button and you have a clear HQ quality of the backup camera. The buttons might be a bit too small if you have fat fingers, they are a little too small to be honest, but meh, doesn't bother me. Where this headset shines the most is in the equalizer and sound effects, and let me tell you this head unit packs a punch! Dvd quality looks great in my experience, cd's sound great and function very good. Wish they had a physical eject button, but it's a mere two button press to eject. No carplay, but who needs it when you have a smartphone. Response time is a second delayed, but the head unit is 5 years old. I say it's worth the money!     • Amazing quality and sound for the price
WOW, what an amazing stereo, for the cost I thought Kenwood would have cut all kinds of corners but I was pleasantly mistaken, the stereo shop I had install it was so impressed they called their Kenwood rep and ordered some for themselves. The sound, the touch screen, and I had my stereo shop add the Maestro kit which made connecting the steering wheel controls easy, PLUS it displayed all of the vehicle gages and components including TPMS, engine temp and if there is a check engine light it is all displayed. I may in the future have one like this on my vehicle. very impressive! ... show more

Arrived in box with all assesssories. Same model as depicted! Although this being a 2018 model, (currently 2024) Nice screen, good features, excellent sound quality and, tuning options! Nice volume nob with detents. The touch screen works good, but some features are slightly delayed and, when the display brightness is tuned good for night driving, its a bit too dim for during the day.. A bit disappointing, I've noticed others are like this as well though. All in all, seems like a nice reciever! ... show more

The only thing I would say is that you need to be an experience stereo installer that knows how to read wiring schematics like me or it is almost impossible to find adapters that will work to put it into your van. Once you are able to though it has great sound quality great base all the way around and place DVDs beautifully and CDs. ... show more

    • Locks up and crashes, screen is very dim
Like you'll see from other reviewers here and elsewhere, the screen is indeed dim'er than others, even with the auto-dim disabled and screen brightness at max. I didn't believe the reviews and bought it anyway, but yes, it is noticeably dim'er than models from Pioneer. When on music shuffle mode, it will not go back to the last song played, just keeps re-starting current song. I wish it had this feature. I mean what if you want to hear the song that just played on shuffle. But....that's not why I returned it and bought Pioneer.....No I returned it because the unit LOCKS UP frequently. Again, you'll see others mention this around the web. I don't think I got a bad unit but rather this thing cannot handle doing multiple things and some kind of engineering race condition causes it to lock up. The temp fix is stop, turn car off/on, OR press and hold forever the home key. The music quality was fantastic and overall I wanted this radio to be a keeper, but I'm not squinting to see or rebooting to use, my car stereo ... show more

This item is misleading. I did get sidetracked by the volume control, but no reason to mention Android if it's just about the charging capacity, like who doesn't have a fast charger anymore? This is a basic ass CD player with blue tooth.
