Works great for holding my IPAD.

  • Good value
Size: 19790.516.55
These seem to be the best tablet clips you can find. Even though it's made out of plastic it's sturdy and holds large devices with ease.

  • So far, so good!

  • K&M is the most quality brand there is.
Size: 19790.516.55
If you're willing to pay this price for an iPad stand, you will not be disappointed. I'm a professional audio engineer and I will not purchase any other brand. This product exceeded my expectations. I'm now buying a handful of them for my venue.

  • Sturdy, universal mount; works with all our tablets, including brand new iPad Air 2
Size: 1-(Pack)
4/3/18 UPDATE: All righty, it's now been over three years since I purchased the K&M 19740. I am gigging with it and using it for rehearsing regularly. It has yet to do anything but serve me well. The springs are still holding my iPad Air 2 securely. It also holds other tablets just fine. I'll reiterate that aligning the holder with one of your mic stands' legs will help the whole assembly to not fall over. Stands with heavier bases instead of legs don't have the tipping problem. This is one of my happier, most satisfying purchases; I use this puppy nearly daily for music; it also works great to hold the iPad for video calling! So handy. The price is higher than some other models, of which I have three gathering dust. I'd still absolutely choose this one. The K&M 19740, which I've had now for a couple of weeks, is the third holder I've used for music purposes. The other holders, though fine for the bigger iPads, wouldn't work for my recent upgrade to an iPad Air 2. I chose the K&M model in hopes that it would work for many different iPads/tablets, as I'd rather not have to buy a new holder every time I upgrade my iPad. Happily, I think this will be the last holder I need to buy for a long time. It securely holds the Air 2 and the older models, too, and I'm guessing it will work fine with future upgrades. There are enough adjustable dimensions that it's hard to imagine what sort of tablet type thing *wouldn't* fit. In addition to universality, this German-made item is seriously sturdy. It comes with a five-year warranty. It holds the iPad Air 2 very securely with padded, strongly spring-tensioned arms. The iPad is not going anywhere when placed in this holder, even when bumped. I appreciate also that rotating the iPad from portrait to landscape mode is easily done without having to loosen anything first, and the iPad is never at risk of falling during rotation. The one caution I'd point out is that, due to its sturdy nature, this unit is significantly heavier than some others. If mounted far out on a boom stand, care needs to be taken to prevent the whole shebang from tipping over. Aligning one leg of the mic stand with the angle of top boom takes care of that problem for me. Usually, though, I've got the holder mounted on the lower part of the stand. No problems, there. Assembly took some patience; it's not hard, really, just not whiz-bang quick and intuitive to put together. Read the instructions attentively, take your time following each step, and you'll do fine. ... show more

  • Great Product for my Needs
Size: 19742.500.55
I am no professional musician, but after jamming with a friend around my ipad which was simply sitting on a chair (for chord and lyric reference), I found that we couldn't both see the ipad very well. I then envisioned a tablet holder mounted on a mic stand, which would conveniently "suspend" the ipad in a good viewing position for both of us, without being obnoxious and difficult to work around. Expecting that someone had already developed something like that I began my search and ended up with this arrangement of telescoping boom mic stand and K&M Universal Tablet Holder - Thread Mount. On-line I found many clamp mount tablet holders, for mounting on a vertical mic stand riser tube (which admittedly would be more stable), but not many thread-mount products, and though this K&M one is an end-mount, I wasn't certain it would work with the telescoping boom. I was thrilled to receive it and found that it works just as I had hoped. See photo. I put my ipad into a Griffin Survivor case for protection from a drop or tip-over of the stand. The case is rather thick, but being a universal tablet holder, it's made to fit a variety of products and therefore the deep tabs provided enough depth to accommodate it (the tablet/case wouldn't want to be any thicker though). After ordering the tablet holder I became concerned that this particular product wouldn't actually fit a full-sized ipad since some of the "works with" info on the Amazon product page only indicated "ipad mini". To be clear, it does work with a standard ipad. Also, not directly related to the tablet holder...I had read of some issues with both the DR Pro or K&M equivalent mic stand drooping under the load of a heavy mic. I didn't want to settle for just a simple upright stand as I wanted the stand set back out of the way as much as possible, with the ipad close for easy viewing. I had some concerns that I wouldn't be able to extend the boom arm much before it drooped under the weight of the ipad and case. While the ipad and case are substantial in weight, I'm pleased to say that it all came together as I had hoped and it works very well and it's quite stable. I can position the ipad at a convenient view height and angle for the best view and both myself and my bass player. I would anticipate many musicians would find this combination of tablet holder and telescoping boom stand very appealing. Very pleased. ... show more

  • Sturdy Tablet holder but not perfect for iPad Mini or iPad Pro.
Size: 19790.516.55
Overall I like my K&M Universal iPad holder. Things I like: 1) It's pretty sturdy. 2) It has a fairly secure system for locking the iPad in place. 3) I can quickly rotate from Landscape into Portrait. 4) I can adjust the tilt of the device easily. 5) Attaches securely to a microphone stand. Things I don't like. 1) The stand does not adjust to securely hold an iPad Mini (as shown in the pictures. But with a folio case attached I can wedge it in there in a way that is O.K. I'll be getting a bigger iPad soon so it's not a big deal for me. 2) I tried it with an iPad Pro and it did not work well. I wanted the Face ID camera to be on the right side in landscape mode as I was using it for reading facial expressions to turn sheet music. (Your face will be looking to the right when you need to turn a page) However, with the iPad Pro in this position one of the microphones was covered by the single clip on the top-center and the corner clip in the lower right interfered with the volume controls. Not ideal. 3) There is not a quick release mechanism to remove an iPad from the stand to do other things. This means you have to unscrew one of the clips each time you want to remove it. ... show more
