We have taken it on several outings and it seems to fit all toilets well. It does not wobble. My son feels very stable. He actually says he feels safe and he likes it. The seat does not have suction cups that stop working over time, but it has a rubber grip all around the edge that keeps it from slipping around on the toilet seat. It is small enough to fit in a small bag. The guard could be a little higher, so we still have to point him down, but it works well regardless. Our son is 19 months old and started showing signs that he may be ready to start potty training. I wanted a seat that went on the existing toilet, rather than a separate training toilet. I chose this one because of the reviews, and because it looks sturdy, simple and easy to clean, and has a little shield for pee, which seemed like a handy feature when potty training a boy. We've been using it for about a week now -- we're not hard-core potty training yet; just introducing him to the concept. It's working well! I need to find a stepstool or something that's tall enough for his feet to reach while he's sitting on it. And I wish there were little handles or something on this, too, to stabilize him a little. He always seems a little freaked out when he first sits down, and I think he feels unstable up there, with nothing around him and nothing to hold onto. He's fine after a minute or two, though. We let him play with a toy or a book or something while he's up there, and he's fine. This little seat is also very easy to clean, and the opening is big enough so I don't have any trouble cleaning my son up while he's on it, but not so big that he's in any danger of falling through it. I bought a Command brand hook to stick to the side of the vanity to hang it on, rather than using the one that came with the seat -- I wasn't sure if that one would come off clean or not. My only other complaint is that the seat sticks to my son's legs a little, so when I lift him off up, the seat comes, too. Not a big deal, but that does seem to weird him out a little. ... show more

We’ve really liked how simple these seat covers are. They fit on all our toilets and even have a nifty hook for when we aren’t using it. It’s so simple that my toddler can put it on and take it off by himself. We got two of them for convenience.

    • Great for potty training

My son did great with potty training but had the issue that his little potties didn’t have enough of a “splash guard” so he would spray out, even when he started to learn how to “aim”. We got one of these for the regular toilet and he immediately preferred it and it helped fix the spray problem. He takes it off, hangs it up, and puts it on the toilet all by himself so it’s very easy for him to be independent with this. Once it’s on it doesn’t easily slide. Easy to clean. We just bought a second one for the upstairs bathroom and got rid of both tiny training potties. Only negative was the hook they came with did not stick to our walls and there wasn’t room to stick it to the toilet (narrow bathroom). So we found another solution for that but we really don’t care about that issue. It’s a great seat and if we need more we will buy this one. ... show more

This seat is just what we were looking for in potty training our boys. The key is that shield piece in the front, which prevents any potential overshooting, which means preventing clothes, parents and floors getting covered in pee. Only downsides here are it isn't very portable, doesn't fit great into a normal seat (still works, just fits better into an elongated seat), and there are some little crevices that can be difficult to clean if they get dirty.     • Love the simplicity, frustrated with messes

We're on our third child potty training, and I've learned I hate stand-alone training potties and foam potty seats (they always end up disgusting!). The simplicity of this design and the ease of cleaning were very appealing after seeing something similar at a friend's house. And I do love those aspects: it is super easy to clean. However, the hook it comes with didn't last more than a day in our house. I gave it more than 24 hours for the adhesive to stick before even hanging the seat on the hook, but the first time my toddler took the seat off the hook himself, it ripped the whole hook off, never to stick again. The loop the seat hangs with is so small, and made of the same gripping material that goes around the seat to keep it from slipping, that it also grips the hook itself, causing a good amount of friction when removing it. But the most frustrating aspect (because it makes no sense) is that we routinely find urine on the toilet seat after lifting up the training seat. Despite the urine guard dropping below the height of our toilet seat, there is commonly a spray of urine on the seat when he's done. The physics of it are thoroughly confusing to us. If this weren't the easiest to clean training seat we've ever used, I probably would have tossed it already. All in all, it still meets my top expectations: - It is easy for my toddler to use himself (despite the hook malfunction). - It is very easy to clean (no foam to soak up urine, no cracks, few crevices). ... show more
