A better portable speaker with lights does not exist & cheaper options don’t compare. The JBL Pulse has the best light show, the best sound quality, & will not deteriorate with use. If you’re trying to pick between the 3, 4, & 5, definitely get the 3! I lost my Pulse 4 and am so happy I got the 3 because I was missing out. The 360 speaker featured on the 3 sounds sooo much better than the top facing speaker on the 4 (and 5 I imagine). I think the 4 and 5 are supposed to sound better, but the top facing speakers don’t provide bilateral stimulation like the 3. The lights on the 3 seem dreamier as well, but I might be biased. Just trust me…you need the JBL Pulse 3!!! ... show more

This was probably the purchase of the year for me for 2019. I got it on black friday deal and it was not expensive at all, and for what i paid, this speaker is pretty good. The sound quality is not the best of the best, but it is still top-notch. The most outstanding thing about this is how pretty it is. I got the white and I think I made the right choice. And the lights, THE LIGHTS! Every setting so beautiful. Color scheme is so beautiful. It is perfect for the mellow edm's I listen to. You can also only turn the light feature on and not the speaker and it makes a perfect mood lamp. My only downside was the battery life. I think it still lasts a good 3 hours maybe less, but it would definitely run out in the midst of me and my friend's hangouts. No problem though if you keep it plugged. I am so gonna go camping with this. ... show more

As a product, is an adorable and most than worth to be buy bluetooth speaker. The color effect can turn every moment into a unique one. By changing the visual effect, the atmosphere can turn from a romantic one to a... club. And the quality of the sound... no more needed! Full bass, middle and tremble. And the app for the control of the visuals by the phone, easy and productive. The HUGE drawback is that this speaker can be paired only with JBL models with the PLUS connectivity. I bough some months ago a Charger 3 and they do not connect, either as stereo or as party mode. I bough one as a gift for a friend of mine, and even after one month I am receiving thankfully messages of happiness. So, I bough one for myself. unfortunately, it is not working properly. The connection with the iPhone X is not stable and the sound is lost and found. And JBL started to be cheap. The package came without a usb cable and with no adapter for Europe. Why??? ... show more

I have just received my JBL speaker a few days ago and I absolutely love it! I will say when I first played music on it the background sounds in the song sometimes were off a little. After awhile the speaker got broken in and it went away. Its great that you can change the light show so you can switch it up. The speaker has 360 surround sound coming out of it. I try to not have it to close to a back surface, to just have it standing by itself away from other items. The light display it gives out is spectacular! I was instantly mesmerized from all the lights haha. I brought it to the beach to relax and played it and JBL did not disappoint, I had the sound on a little under medium and I could perfectly hear it. Overall a great product and conversation piece. I highly recommend for someone looking for a aesthetic looking speaker ... show more

My main use for this speaker is during bedtime prep with my 5-year-old and my husband. We gather in the bathroom, lights off, brush our teeth and wash our faces, with the speaker blasting songs from our early 2010's clubbing days--"Like a G6", LMFAO, Ke$ha, David Guetta, etc. The best part is the rave light sequence, so we get to dance and have fun as a family before bedtime. The lights and patterns are fun and the app is easy to use. It sounds good, too. Knicked a star because some of the light patterns stutter which ruins the effect.
