  • Solid unit, with a few flaws
Size: 16-port Style: USB Cables
This device works quite well for what it is. USB is slow, but functions as expected for USB 1.1. The interface is usable once you get a feel for it. The ability to cascade to other, similarly-branded KVMs from IOGEAR is what I am the most interested in at this point. I am buying a gcs1716kitu (a 16 port IOGREAR KVM) by itself to test this functionality. If that works out well, I will update here. The included cables were a major, if unexpected, plus. The screen size is decent. Not anything to rave about, but nothing to complain over, either. This device does everything you would want a KVM to do. If you're looking for a solid, decently-priced KVM console, look no further. Pros: Cascade ability Ease of use Cables included with KVM (varying lengths, as well as 1 cascade cable) Cons: Strangely shaped keyboard keys Track pad occasionally does interesting things Slow USB connection ... show more

  • Good Value
Size: 1-port Style: 1 USB Cable
Its one of the cheapest KVMs that I could find. The keyboard layout is not a full size standard keyboard. The backspace and left shift keys are small and difficult to find while typing, but it was a good price.

  • DOA, opened it up and the connectors were loose.
Size: 1-port Style: 1 USB Cable
So I didn't take heed from some of the other reviews on here, more than one of which received the unit with the USB (keyboard mouse) faulty on setup. I believe others got nowhere with support and had to return their units, frustrated and disheartened. I had the same experience that they had. Keyboard, mouse (the "K & M" in "KVM") - both DOA. I was super bummed. I had this rack upgrade planned over the weekend and when I dropped this bad boy in and it didn't work I was kind of sad -- but also kind of felt like it was my fault for not really listening to the problems that had been documented in reviews. Anyway, the next day I was about to box it up and while staring at it decided to pop open the back part. In there I saw there were two connectors plugged into its board that looked slightly bent to the side, so I straightened them both up, and then (with it open) tested the unit one more time. This time, for some reason, the keyboard and mouse worked. Now, I don't yet trust it, so I am keeping the box handy in case I still need to return over the next 30 days. If so, the closest comparable kvm/lcd in price that will fit in my shallow rack is ~$300 more, so I'm hoping this doesn't fail again and that connector was actually the problem. I'll update in ~30. ... show more

  • Great if you only have one source
Size: 1-port Style: 1 USB Cable
Used as a interface for my security camera system. Serves its purpose well.

  • Great Product - Poor Service
Size: 8-port Style: PS/2 and USB Cables
The Product itself works as advertised; and we're quite pleased. However, the kit does not come as advertised. The number of cables and cable types advertised are not what is sent. The cables are not cheap. Essentially, the seller found a way to steal $200. Attempts to resolve with seller went unanswered. Great Product. False Adverstisement. ... show more

Size: 1-port Style: 1 USB Cable
This unit is well built. The quality of construction is excellent. I ordered one of these units from New Egg, installed it in the rack, only to find that the keyboard would not respond. I contacted IOGear support to figure out the issue. The accessment by IOGear support was I had a faulty unit. I returned the unit to New Egg, who was out of stock so they could not send me a new one. I ordered a replacement unit from Amazon, only to find the second unit had the same issue. I contacted IOGear support again by phone, where the acessment was the same, the unit was potentially defective. Initially I was told to return the unit I had to Amazon and order another unit. Once bitten twice shy, I pushed to have IOGear ship me a known good unit after which I would return the unit I had. The option I was given was to ship the unit back on my dime, (shipping costs 1/2 the cost of the unit) and they would ship me a known good unit. I opted out of those options and returned the unit to Amazon and shopped a different product which, although the quality of construction was less than the IOGear unit. I just plugged it in and it worked. ... show more

  • Nice unit but keyboard is hard to get used to...
Size: 1-port Style: 1 USB Cable
Nice keyboard and drawer but the shift keys are tiny so it makes it pretty annoying to try to type if your used to a standard keyboard.
