Description

While those around the green chip shots seem like they should be easy, for many of us, they are the most difficult shots on the course to hit consistently well. Fortunately, Intech has designed a club built to provide everyday golfers with the type of reliability that everyone looks for around the greens. Made for left and right-handed players, the Two-Way Chipper is meant to be played like any low-lofted wedge. Simply put the ball back a bit in your stance, and you will be able to chip it close easier and more often than ever before. Now available in different finishes for men and women.

  • Saves me
Color: Satin/Black Style Name: Men's 35.5"
So I live in Las Vegas, where there’s a lot of desert golf. So I actually bought this club because it was not very expensive and it was a two-way club that I could use to get me out of trouble. So it’s actually my rock club. The great thing is sometimes I get stuck behind a rock or a tree or a bush where it’s impossible to stand for right handed swing but wide open for a left-handed swing And since all I’m trying to do is smash it back into the fairway I’m not really looking for how far I can hit it I just need to be able to get a club on it. This is perfect for that. It’s taking some abuse since it’s a rock club, but it’s still holding up good for what I paid the best rock club I’ve ever had. ... show more

  • Handy and effective but not a long-term solution
Color: Satin/Black Style Name: Men's 35.5"
There's nothing more frustrating (aside from the crucial first-hole drive) than playing a ball in a sand trap next to the green, using the proper sand wedge, taking the recommended full swing--but hitting the ball square and watching it fly a hundred yards over the green. A good drive and approach to the green nullified/cancelled/rendered futile by a hopeless short game. The short game is where the grace, the finesse, the "aesthetics" of golf come into play--but few of us are "artists." So rather than risk clobbering the ball over the green with each of your high-number, short-game clubs, why not use a club that simply enables you to "putt" your way to the hole from anywhere that's within 50 yards out? Why not? Well, maybe because it's a violation of the rules; it's not very aesthetic (more like playing croquet); it certainly violates the "unwritten" rules and form of the game. (Imagine a baseball player confronting a 100 mph fast ball with a Titanium tennis racquet instead of a wooden bat.) But if all you want to do is lower your score and frustration, this may be the most practical answer--until, of course, you've got some confidence, along with the necessary skills, to play a respectable short game. [The price is so low I neglected to take advantage of the 20% off for Visa customers--even though I was using the necessary card. Whether it's golf or "deals," I just can't compete.] [2nd caveat: as a preceding reviewer points out, "switch-hitting" clubs like this are not USGA-approved. So Tiger wannabes should probably spend a dollar or two more on the proper RH or LH chipper.] [3rd "semi" caveat: I realize that at this price point golf clubs are bound to be "generic," but I'm somewhat disappointed not to see the name "Intech" anywhere on or near the club. It did come with a name (not "Generic"), but I'm not about to reopen the shipping box to find out what it is.] ... show more

  • another golf aid to keep in your bag
Color: Satin/Black Style Name: Men's 35.5"
handy two way chipper to keep in golf bag for when a shot falls between tree trunk roots or if you have to hit the ball out of a awkward position . Have used it once or twice so far and see its potential; however, as with any new club, practice a little with it each day to inspire confidence

  • Very handy club
Color: Satin/Black Style Name: Men's 35.5"
I'm not very good with high-loft irons on short chips and bump & runs around the green. This works for me in those situations. The loft approximates 45 degrees, similar to a standard pitching wedge but is suited for the 5-20 yard shot. Bonus is that in that "once a year" time when you cannot take a natural-side stance (for instance very close to a tree trunk), you can swing as a lefty with this club (I'm a righty) and deliver a better outcome than if you flip a traditional iron over to hit with. This club is non-conforming for tournament play, but it is a club a recreational golfer will like and use for 1 to 3 shots per round. I only carry 13 clubs, including four wedges (PW, 52, 60, and this is one of the four). ... show more

  • Worth it's weight in gold!
Color: Satin/Black Style Name: Men's 35.5"
Listen folks, I have been playing this wonderful game of golf for 32 years (teenage years not so much) and can honestly say I love this club after just 1 round. Recently I have been having a awful time with close fringe chipping, but that is now a thing of the past. The front 9 was my adjustment period to the club and that counted for only 3 holes, from that point forward no more chipping problems. The other members of the 3some started looking a there old school flat faced chippers with total disgust for the rest of the day. The only con would be that it's not really a tall man's club (I am 6'2") it's a little shorter than my putter. All in all if you want to chip them straight, I mean straight into the hole, you might want to purchase this bad boy. ... show more
