Everything seems fine with this product, but every other shipment is delivered without a tin lid. Once I open the product I might as well throw the tin out and place the pods in a zip lock bag. Why aren’t the lids taped on?

First, let me be clear - to me, Illy iperespresso capsules are about the best on the market. I love their Ethiopia and Brasile. The low rating is because I received old product. It was 4 months out to expiration. When I order directly from illy, the product generally has a 1 to 18 months expiration date. So I know that while I can still use it within 4 months, this has been sitting on a shelf somewhere and may not be as fresh. I subscribed to this product on Amazon because it was offered at a good price; and I thought it would have at least a 1 year expiration date. I generally order 6 to 12 cans from illy when they have a 25% off or free machine with coffee purchase, and already had 4 cans on hand. Was not able to return this unopened can, so since it expires way before the ones on hand, I will use it first and hope the taste isn’t off (I use mine before they get that old). If you call Illy, they will tell you that anything they send will have a 12-18 months expiration date. Unfortunately, because I don’t know what I will receive, and can’t return it if it’s old, I am canceling my subscription. ... show more

I love Illy coffee. Best stuff around, better than lavazza even. Here is the thing....4 to 5 pods fail per package. I can afford to rhrow away that much coffee every month. Its not just ine tin that had bad pods, but every tin. What do i mean by 'bad' and 'fail'? The machine has water and it send the water into the pod, but NO coffee exits the pods. Your left with a water-logged dripping pod to carry to the trash. ... show more
