    • Works but a few things I didn't like
Out of the box this is solid, has a bright beam and a basic mount and a decent semi hard case, not a soft bag. What I didn't like, The instructions are sparse. A couple of q links are provided but you can't go directly to the online manual without first going through a pitch to sign up for email notifications for their products which you can bypass if you click the hamburger icon and just search. That just gives you the same manual that is in the box so a waste of time. There is no how to use info that one of the codes is supposed to point to. Just a repeat of the previously stated cycle and a lot of non working pages. The link to support goes back to registration so If this fails during warranty I may have to go to Amazon customer support to fix it. The mounting bracket that comes with this isn't the fancy one that is shown in the video on Amazon. You get the basic bracket, I expected that so no surprise but, the bracket doesn't lock the level in place. Once the screw is tightened the level still swings a full 360 degrees around it's base and is just loose enough that it is very, very easy to knock it out of line vertically. I really don't like that part. Because it can swing under it's own weight it can't be used to point at the ceiling or floor using the included magnetic bracket. It's best if this were used on a tripod. Of course you can find a magnetic bracket on Amazon with 3 way fine adjustment like the one in their video for about $30 extra. Played with this enough so far to consider it well worth the price but those points previously mentioned still annoy me so they get dinged a star. ... show more

    • Great product - needs better instructions
I'm a little slow when it comes to understanding tools or electronics, so this one was a little harder for me to figure out right away. But once you figure out how to use it properly, it is a blast! It takes the guess work about making sure your shelving is horizontally level, and you can tell if your room is out of square! (which mine was...) We are about to undergo a major remodel, and I can use a level for some things, but having lasers is a game changer! Get yourself a good tripod to go with it, and do some work!! ... show more

This level has a lot of interesting features like self-leveling, the ability to lock the level in place (makes a noise if not level) or let it settle on its own (a visual leveling). There is no bubble visual just the laser lights. Because of the square bulkiness of it, I had a challenge getting it to level something on my wall. I was trying to hang three pictures level to each other and either my wall is wildly unlevel, I was doing it wrong (tried to follow the directions and not my first time using a level), or the earth is not level under me. :D I ended up giving up on the level because the only way I could get it to be actually level was if it was on a flat surface. I appreciate that it comes with a magnetic holder so it can be mounted onto something metal. The laser light is very bright and clear with cross levels so you can see where to pinpoint something if need be. Some great features and in some instances would be a fantastic level, but not for all things, imo. ... show more
