this thing is pretty neat, across the board. i bought it for my 11yr old niece for her solar system themed birthday party. i don't 100% know what i was expecting, but it's made of very light plastic. which, since it was a gift for a child, worked out perfectly! i was actually shocked as to how light the box is. it's also not really as big as it seems it will be from the pictures. the videos by other purchasers are mostly done in darker rooms so you can see what this thing does, making it a little more difficult to actually see its sizing. i'm sure the dimensions are on here, but i am more of a visual shopper. if that is you too, just don't be surprised by the sizing when it arrives. the wooden stand is also interesting, but the whole thing put together looks pretty neat. 11yr old niece loves it! ... show more

So there's like 10 of these from "different brands" on Amazon between 15-25 dollars. I bought the 25 one that had the most convincing photos, but I have a strong feeling they're all the same. The box pictured was a lie, there's not even branding on the item or the box. The box it comes in is a plan light brown box with no color, design, or text on it. Inside you'll find rough hay Easter grass type stuff as the only packaging. The Moon Lamp itself is bright enough as a night light, but it wont project light onto the walls, ceiling or anything further than 3 inches from it. I've bought 3 party lights off amazon around the same price and were impressed by all three of those. They really lit up the room well (especially the on that projects an underwater effect on your ceiling) I was hoping this moon lamp would turn my room whichever color I chose, at least a section of it near the lamp, but nope. The pictures lie. Also, it's very cheap and ugly looking while the LEDs are off. I'm convinced 90% of the reviews here are fake. This is probably the most "Chinese" thing I've bought off Amazon, but at least it came in 3 days. The pictures show a nice smooth varnished wooden base to house the lamp. That was also a lie. The thing is made out of very cheap, non-sanded wood that's neither varnished or painted. It gave me a splinter immediately. IMO this should have been 10 dollars. I'm just happy it actually works and the internal battery does hold a 6 hour charge Other reviews said their controller doesn't work, but those people are NPCs. You have to first touch a metal pin on the bottom of the lamp which will activate the lamps LEDs. Then the remote controller will work fine Looks pretty neat in a 100% dark room though. ... show more
