I love the quality of these mugs and that the straw is flexible on top. They will leak if you flip them upside down but very little leaks out if you happen to tip it sideways. The straws are a stiff silicone that attached into the flexible silicone straw cap. It's a pretty cool design and when I tried one, I'm hooked. I'd rather drink out of glass (who wouldn't) but it's just not practical and unlike aluminum or some other stainless bottles I've used, I can't taste the plastic or the metal unless I let the water sit in it longer than 8-12 hours and try to drink it. But you shouldn't really do that anyway. Yuck. I keep one of these next to my bed for overnight water. It keeps the water cold for 8 hours and cool for up to 12, without ice, just refrigerated water. So that's really impressive. I dropped one of these with the coffee top lid and the lid popped off and 40oz of coffee and skim milk went all over my kitchen floor. So I don't recommend that. But unlike another major brand that I had, this didn't dent, scratch or anything, other than spill. I'm really impressed with the quality of the powder coating on these. I will probably never use another brand again. I also love the colors and the price (although they are all overpriced, let's face it) is comparable and a lot of times cheaper than the other major brands. I didn't expect to like this lilac color as much as I do. I actually bought it because it was cheaper than some of the other colors but it is quite lovely and I don't feel like I'm using my daughter's sippy cup or anything.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Favorite travel cup, hands down! Easy to use, drink from, fill & carry. Fits cup holder in car & stroller. Does not leak when tilted or tipped over (despite snap in lid, its tight). Hydro flask testing No lead button, one of only ones that doesn’t have that, which I love. The wheat color is beautiful and very classy. Cold stays very cold, hot stays very hot! This size is perfect for an adult also, but 10yo who drinks a lot of water might get one of these soon in his color pick.

Hydroflask has been my go-to for 10+ years and the recent trend of jugs with big handles finally wore me down enough that I needed to get one. Sticking with my trusty favorite brand was a definite win. This jug gives you the giant handle feel that your brain craves. Forget walking to your car in a crowded parking lot with your keys in your hand to ward off potential ne'er-do-wells, just carry this around with you full of ice and water and the beautiful sound of still frozen ice clanking against metal will make sure nobody messes with you. Very nice and vibrant color too. Fun, menacing, and keeps your drinks cold for hours too! Easily recommend.

I wish it had cushioning for the handle. Also i dont like how the hole for vapor and anti spillage is microscopic and missing the turning component. If you want to take sips without extreme suction, you must pop the straw/hole cover (connected) out everytime while careful not spill the drink. The shape is quite awkward. I love how much water it carries but thats not an excuse. The logo is incomprehensible. I hate how there is no band to hold the cup either. The handle is made for large male hands which i own and it still feels awkward in every pose but the handshake. It is not leakproof. if it falls over some drops will spill from the small hole i mentioned earlier. I guess they thought they could save money by relying on surfacs tension and a small hole? Anyways, The color is the best part in my opinion. A strong absolute black with a silver band. I've had this cup for a month and thankfully haven't bumped it hard enough to dented it as other reviews suggest. If this is true i'll definitely shop around other options first.

I only bought this terrible color because it was on sale, otherwise I’m thrilled with this. It definitely keeps your drink cold for a LONG TIME. It’s also super easy to clean and has very nice seals to prevent spilling if it falls over, which I’m surprised about since the top is technically always open. Whatever its coating in holds up to falls as well, not a scratch. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a sturdy, temperature retaining, semi reasonably priced drink bottle.
