The media could not be loaded. This cube shelving organizer is being used for toys, books (heavy school books), etc in our basement. I had NO idea it was as big as it is & was SHOCKED when it was all assembled. If you assemble is as in the product photo of at least 3 cubes on one side, it is the height of a standard light switch (it's actually a bit higher than ours). When I opened the box I grabbed the directions & looked at the parts list, then I sorted out the parts in separate piles. ALL of the pieces were THERE, so I went to work. I had "helpers" assembling it, & it took me about 45 minutes. If you are assembling it without toddlers running away with pieces or wanting to nurse, it may take you less time. At first I found assembly a bit awkward, but once I got the first row of cubes done, it was a piece of cake. Again, I had kids grabbing pieces & trying to "HELP", so it may have been easier had I not been asking them to NOT lose any pieces. lol Once assembled I walked around the house finding the best place for this as I had 3 spaces I wanted to try it in. I decided the basement was the best option because it is against the wall (in one of the bedrooms I was thinking about putting it in, the area it would have fit in would have been at the foot of a bunkbed, & just knew my boys would climb off the bed onto it, which would NOT end well for either the shelves or the child/ren). It is light, but it could hurt a small child if they pulled it over on themselves with a bunch of books on it. We are going to use a nylon strap to anchor it to the wall. I was surprised at how much weight it can hold by means of books; the books we out on it are HEAVY high school curriculum books that are at least 2" thick & several hundred pages long. We also put games, puzzles, trucks, etc on it. My boys will often take everything off of it to play with it because somehow every single toy, game, etc. on the storage unit MUST be played with together, even if they are random toys. My boys will have play food, toy soldiers, puzzle pieces, etc. all spread out.. no idea how they all fit together, but in their brains they do. This cube organizer can be assembled in different configurations, but I opted to use it in the form with all 9 cubes used in graduated order, like stairs. It made the most sense for the space we are using it in, but I like that I can change the configuration of it later on, if need be. The height of the tallest cube section is: approx. 49" tall The height of the medium cube section is: approx 37" tall The height of the shortest cube section is: approx. 25" tall Each cube is: 11 3/4" tall x 15 1/4" wide The width of the organizer 3 cubes wide is: (just shy of) 47 1/2" The depth of the organizer including the legs/support pieces is: approx 10 3/4" (it's actually a little deeper, but not quite 11"). The fabric bins in the photo are a bit smaller than the organizer & are 11 1/4" wide X approx. 10 1/2" deep X about 9 7/8" tall. The 13" Ikea fabric bins are TOO big, but you could fit slightly larger bins than the ones shown with the above measurements. The organizer has metal poles & plastic connectors, and it is stable & sturdy. I like everything being organized & my kids like being able to SEE their toys & to FIND them EASILY.. to make a huge mess with ;). We are VERY happy with this organizer & WOULD purchase it again. ... show more

Ordered this, with relatively low expectations given the price but we really needed a way for our daughter to be able to organize her room better. It came and we still weren’t sure how well it was going to work. Put it together and have been very happy with it. She has been able to use it to organize a variety of books, crafts, and other things. Liked it well enough that we ordered one for our son’s room and considering ordering the grandkids each one. ... show more

It's the perfect size for the walk-in closet in my craft room. It was inexpensive, lightweight, and is quite sturdy in spite of the fact that it is made of hollow plastic tubes and some sort of thick nylon material. I like that the shelves are tall enough to fit a letter-sized notebook. The only real downside is it was difficult to assemble. PLAN YOUR FINAL LOOK AHEAD OF TIME! At first I tried to make it tall, but there are 9 boxes, so it didn't really work that way, Wound up assembling it the same way it is in the picture, with an incline across 3 columns. Once you stick those tubes together, it is NOT EASY to take them back apart, which I had to do in order to change the orientation of the boxes. Also, you have to slide the fabric in place for the sides, tops, and bottoms of the shelves on each square, and if you forget to do that before you connect the tubes, you have to use brute force to UNDO the tubes so you can put the fabric in place. When you undo one connection of tubes, it inevitably causes the joins nearby to split, then you wind up reattaching a bunch of tubes that were tough to align in the first place. I get why it fits so tight; that's what makes the shelves so sturdy. Just pay extra care and focus while you're building it, and you'll be fine. ... show more

Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. It is cheap quality. I get you get what you pay for but I mean REALLY cheap. It is thin cheap plastic not fabric and the bars are bendable if you are not careful. The product came disassembled approximately 60 pieces and it was a PAIN to put together. All in all this is not ideal for heavy weight, Maybe some light weight toys, stuffed animals. If you are looking for something heavy duty buy elsewhere. ... show more

May the force be with you if you’re about to assemble this puppy. I sweated about 10,000 calories assembling this little shelf, and I have a knack for stuff like this. The parts are fiddly and you have to be sure to really whack the panels into the holes. Once the bottom section is assembled, though, it squares up and you stop cursing as much. The bright blue color will look great in my son’s room. Unboxed it looked like tissue paper and sticks but it’s surprisingly sturdy. I wish the panels had more substance though. I’ll probably have to use bins because the shelf bottoms aren’t flat so you’ll have difficulty trying to use these shelves for items that need a surface for stabilization. 7/10 all things considered. ... show more

The item was pretty easy to assemble, but I have to say, I was quite disappointed. The bins are a lot smaller and not nearly as sturdy as they appear in the photo.
