Refractometer w/Case (Honey Moisture Meter)
I purchased and received the refractometer (honey moisture meter) in a timely manner and used it for the first time this weekend. It was accurate right out of the box. The cleaning cloth supplied was not practical for wiping honey off of the glass. I used a bigger fiber cloth which did the job. The p

Good product with poor instructions
I think the product is very good but it did not come with the calibration fluid that it says are provided. The instructions leave out basic information ... like what is the correct percentage of water needed in a honey sample.

Bought for honey collection
Got this to test moisture content of my honey. Works just fine. Comes in a nice box to keep it safe. Includes some pipettes but hard to use with honey so I don’t. Also comes with a screen cleaner. Obviously can’t clean honey off with that!

You can pretty much buy the same thing on a beekeeping site for three time the amount of money. This works perfectly. I know my honey is at 17% moisture and can bee spun and bottled. There's no guessing. It's perfect.

The case and product were really nice. Testing went fine, but it didn't come with any fluid to calibrate it. My buddy also bought one that came with fluid and we used that to attempt to calibrate the device. I could not get the device to adjust far enough to calibrate it. I was always about 1.5% off
on the Brix calibration. Thinking that we could use the honey method from the instructions we took some honey that was a known water percentage and it was still significantly off with no way to get it calibrated. I am sure I just got a defective device, overall it seemed nice, but I returned it.

Great addition to my Maple Syruping equipment!
