This is cute - But its a stretch to advertise the relaxing benefits of water sounds. What you get is an electric hum. Unfortunate as I bought this for my office to support relaxation for my clients. I only get relaxing water sound by hiding my phone with water you tube videos behind it !

Love the size! You do need to plug it in. I keep it running on my patio all day as the hummingbirds love it. There is a light in the center which gives a nice look at night.

    • Trust me it's perfect
I have owned two different homedic fountains and read other reviews and there are some tricks to consider when it comes to the complaint of noise level. First and foremost, fill it up. The pump makes a louder sound when it's too low for water. Second, put it on something. The pump vibrates on a hard surface and it is annoying as all hell BUT you can set it on something to absorb the vibration. I am using a round cork plant mat -- works perfectly and protects your surface same way it does for plants. Reviews are pretty harsh for something easily rectified. ... show more

I did not like that my Amazon box arrived torn open at the top :( Fountain was slightly bent, but not enough to send back :} I love the on/off switch, the nice rocks that were included, the overall color, the mellow aesthetics of the running water with the light at the top, it's perfect size, and the best is, the fountain has added much needed warmth to my studio apartment space ;-) ... show more

This product is very quiet -- fro me too quiet. Yoy can see water moving, but no sound of moving water.

I love this water fountain. I just wish I could hear the water splash or gurgle. The lighting is perfect for that bit of ambiance. Easy care.

    • Clean before use!
It makes my space so calming and beautiful. It is definitely very quiet and I just love how soothing it is. It’s not a 5-star because it was super dusty and you DEFINITELY need to wash or rinse the rocks. It is essential to keep the water clean and refill at least once a week. Update 1/7/21: The filter/pump needs to be updated or something. I clean the pump and replace the water with filtered water on a weekly basis and the filter is still not working properly.     • Pump is very noisy.
The Fountain is nice looking, and easy to assemble. Just add water. The ONLY Problem is that the Pump is so noise, that You can not hear the water trickle on the rocks, or even with out the rocks on to the copper plates surrounding the fountain's top. Dick Hohenbrink
