  • Squirrelly little thing.
This thing is fast! If you have it on 3s and hit the throttle at 45 it's gonna do more flips than the us gymnastic team.(see pics) The awesome thing is, you can drive off and do it again. Not saying things dont break, but for what I've put this thing through, I'm glad it's still in one piece. I didn't have my wheelie bar yet. THE BAD- The servo sucks. Just plan on replacing it, seriously. Water resistant, plastic gears.... Done. Screws... Lots of them. Kind of a pain at first but once you've tore the car down a few times, it's not that bad just get the right tools. I couldn't imagine doing it with the supplied tools or even a regular allen at that. If you're going to get it wet, get the stainless screws. All sorts of places for water to hide even with an air compressor I had rusty headed screws. All in all a tough little truck. ... show more

  • Fantastic little basher!
I bought this truck a little while ago to replace my Kyosho mini inferno, as it was getting harder and harder to find parts since it’s I’ve had it about 10 years now. This thing is INSANE out of the box. I’ve ran it on both 2s and 3s and both are pretty wild. Even on 2s it can do wheelies and flip itself under acceleration. I added a wheelie bar because I it would flip and wheelie at half throttle and while doing top speed runs on 3s. On stock gearing it should do about 52mph which is plenty for its size. It takes a pretty big battery too, so runtimes are pretty good. I have a 4000mah 3s and a 5200mah 2s, but I’ve heard people have found 7000mah 2s batteries that fit. This truck is tough, too. I’ve cartwheeled and crashed it many a times and have yet to break anything from this. I bet that eventually I’ll break something from a crash but I’ve yet to do it. I’ve lost a few body pins from rolls but those are easily replaced. A downside of the size of the truck and HPI jamming 1/10 scale electronics into it is things are pretty cramped and tough to get to/work on. To replace the clutch you must take out pretty much all the electronics, and even then it’s still a pain. It also runs very hot on 3s. It would pretty frequently overheat on 3s, until I drilled extra vent holes in the side protector covering the motor and installed a heatsink with fan on the motor as well. Now it no problem running through a whole 3s battery so I’d recommend doing that if you live somewhere hot or plan on running solely on 3s. Also, on 3s it likes to dislocate the front axles when landing a wheelie, and every time it does this it will be more likely to do it again, so some cvd axles are recommended. None of this is a real dealbreaker, and once I’ve taken care of these it’s pretty bulletproof. If you’re looking for a reliable little basher this is definitely a good choice. Fast, tough, and fun right out of the box. Just don’t forget to bring your own batteries! ... show more
