Got this for my pups crate so she was a little more comfortable especially since she's having less accidents. The kennel mat was much plushier than expected and so soft! It was a little on the smaller side for my small kennel but it worked. I read a lot of reviews that said how well this worked for their dogs who are chewers and didn't chew through this pad. I had high hopes that maybe she'd leave it alone too because she does have destructive chewing tendencies. However she didn't and she just shredded it within 3 hrs. So more disappointed that she was able to tear it up and not enjoy it. Like I said not the products fault, it was so nice and at least I'm only out $10 instead of the $20 for the bigger mat. ... show more

We have hardwood floors. We bought this mat to place at the bottom of the stairs to protect our elderly dog from slipping and falling when she came down the stairs too quickly. It made a big difference. After we put it in place, she was able to get to the bottom without incident. As other reviewers have noted, it stays in place remarkably well. It's soft and easy to wash. Our younger dog quickly took a liking to it and planted himself on it to watch the world go by through the storm door. Love putting this on the couch ottoman or cold tile floor or car floor. Love the grippy under side, makes my dog less hesitant to jump on it as she is lanky and not as graceful as, say, a cat.
