Description

The Herm Sprenger Chrome Plated Steel Dog collar is one of the most recognizable and popular names in obedience training tools. A safe and effective alternative to choker collars, it puts even pressure around the neck, about every half inch, putting the skin in a band. This collar does not apply direct pressure to the trachea, so you can train your dog with little or no tugging, jerking, or pulling. The addition of a center plate connector allows the middle link to be configured symmetrically, enabling the links to tighten in the same direction. Made of high quality German steel, The size of this collar can be adjusted by adding or removing the links individually. Features: interlocking links, each link equipped with two blunt link tips slips over dog's head for easy on, easy off slightly beveled link tips easy to increase or decrease in size. Links sold separately. These collars come in four sizes Small 2.25mm x 16”, 3mm x 20" Medium 3mm x 22”, 3.2mm x 23” and 3.9mm x 25”. Sizing instructions: collar should fit snuggly just below the dog's ears, measure the circumference of dog's neck and add 2". Please note: NOT recommended for light color dogs

This prong is great for training. It’s lightweight, comes with a lot of links to remove and add as needed for the size of your dogs neck, and it’s just overall excellent. I worked at a doggy daycare for years and this is what we used for training. Got one for my 5mo old pup and it has been just excellent for our walks. She doesn’t pull and I can give her a proper correction on walks when needed. I have some spine problems so I can’t having anything pulling me or dragging me down when I walk, so this collar has really helped with that. Fits her great and allows for us to go on walks almost everyday. I have a mixed Pitt, he weighs about 50 pds. I purchased this item late last night, got it this morning around 7am. NO LIE, I was amazed. The thickness, the quality and how strong it feels. This item has help with walking my Siberian husky who pulled all the time and was difficult to walk beside me. It only took the first walk with the collar on to be corrected once with a slight quick pulling back on the leash and she didn’t pull after that and walked beside me. The material is thick and durable, make sure you measure your dog’s neck to get the right size. Works great! My 1 year old Lab / Pitty is very excitable. He will rip my arm right off if he decides to go. This has helped him to be much more calm and listen better. I got the size bigger than they said so he can grow into it if need be. The links are removable so easy to make different sizes.

I had been struggling with my pit mix pulling for a while but was always too scared to try this method. I finally decided to try it and it made walks a pleasure for me and my dog. She doesn’t pull for the most part anymore (still training) and my back and shoulders thank this product for it! I would recommend this to anyone who has trouble with pulling and it’s very Helpful because as soon as they she stopped pulling it loosened a little bit. The media could not be loaded. @TheLordBoba (shameless plug) was an extreme puller. He would just dart out and somehow not get whip lash. The pulling was obnoxious and it made me start to hate walking my sweet boy. We tried training - hated it. Boba honestly started to pull worse after that, they used a slip lead. We tried a martingale, he LOLd. We tried all the online training tips, nothing worked. Lord Boba forgot he was a herding dog and instead took on the sled dog mentality. After the first day of using this color - our lives changed. We didn’t need to do anything besides put this thing on and he just realized he wanted to stick with us instead of getting uncomfortable darting forward. We sometimes don’t even need to use it and can just use our Martingale. We watched countless YouTube tutorials and training tips for this collar and I highly encourage anyone who will be trying this to do so. This was affordable. The color looks like the pictures. You can custom the size with the extra prongs. Easy to use once you get a hang of squeezing the prongs to take on and off.
