There is no comparison between the cheap knock offs you find and this product. You can feel the difference in quality when you hold it. It is sturdy and well constructed without feeling like they just threw more material at it to make up for the lack of precision engineering. I was able to quickly and easily remove links to get a perfect custom fit for my pup BY HAND with no tools. The cheap version I was using had me using a pair of needle nose pliers trying to squeeze the prongs which kept slipping from the pliers, and I was sure I was going to impale my hand in the process. The buckle attaches easily and securely. The other main point is the difference in quality of how the collar "activates" and equally distributes pressure so your pup quickly and safely receives the correction message you're sending down the leash. I'm a huge proponent in whatever I do to have the right tool for the job. I love my pup and part of that is that sometimes he needs to be taught where a boundary is for his own good and/or safety. The collar arrived on time, and is a perfect fit for my dog’s neck. I was surprised with the results of the from the very first time I used it. This definitely has made walking my German Shepherd more manageable. She pulls hard and receives a self correction. However, the clasp can unpredictably come undone when the dog pulls hard enough. The first time this happened, I was petrified. My dog could have run off! My biggest recommendation is to get a backup clip and tether the prong collar to the dog’s regular collar for safety measures. I got one with dual clips for $9. ... show more

Exactly how it looks. The prongs are NOT sharp and will not be painful to your dog if you get the right size. I have a 48lbs golden and got a s/m and it’s a little bit too big so I took a link out.

The media could not be loaded. It’s hard trying to find quality products that are big enough for this dog and he is only 1 year and and 4 months. Looked at YouTube for dog training videos and found this brand prong it best for dogs in training to gain control and here I am. Took two or maybe 3 links out and the fit is great. This neck is so wide and he is a powerful dog that you cannot take short cuts when it comes to equipment. So far so good with the collar. ... show more
