    • Nice heat gun but stiff cord pulls it over when put down
When I had to open my mouse to fix it, this worked like a charm to soften the thin adhesive tape on the feet so I could remove them, tape intact, to access the screws. It's been handy for other things too. The cord is stiff so it usually pulls the gun over when it's put down, even with the stand extended (only reason it's not 5 stars). I ordered Black, but I was shipped a Blue one. I guess I can live with it. I bought this primarily for heat shrink tubing to protect the solder joints of wire splices. When I first tested it, it stank and the tip smoked a little bit afterwards – probably burning off chemicals from the manufacturing process. So, I brought it outside and ran it for a minute or so on high to "break it in." Since then, it hasn't stank at all, and runs like a champ. I use the high speed setting to shrink the tubing, and it does it in a couple seconds. This is perfect for most hobbyists, is fairly priced, and high quality. ... show more

    • A great small Heat Gun for electronics.
I own several different types of heat guns, but I wanted to have something for my electronics, circuit boards and small things, I went looking on here, and read some of the reviews of course before I decided to purchase. Some of the reviews I don't believe them, cause anything can happen between the seller, warehouse, and whoever is shipping the thing to your front door. I think some people just don't understand that, but you never know either, but I took a chance anyways. I have own this for quite awhile and used it many, many times before I wanted to post a review. For starters, this lil gun is just like a Dremel tool, for whoever has used one. Light, heats up pretty quick, even on the low setting, in which there are two speeds. low and then just high. has a couple of attachments, the cord that plugs into an outlet is a decent length so your not tied to the wall using it. I think you can hang it as well, and finally the price wasn't to bad. The only thing that would be nice, is a case for it, but I guess that could be an option.
