We love this for our toddler who is now getting old enough that he can climb on this with a bit less "spotting" from dad. It's solid enough that it helps his confidence, and the bars are small enough diameter he can wrap his fingers completely around them and really grip to climb - better on the inside than the outside, but the outside is a bit scary to the younger ones. It was for me too over 50-something years ago. :-) Because the bars are thin, the sturdiness is just OK. I mean it's good enough for small grade-schoolers and that age limit (weight limit, really) should be observed. But it's strong enough that it holds that big center swing very well, and doesn't creak much or wobble when the kids get the swing going pretty good. There's movement, but nothing alarming. It holds well to the ground - do try to keep it very flat is the big thing. I like it, and toddler loves it and we both recommend it. ... show more

Kids love it. The cargo net makes it more than just a climbing dome - they love to lounge on it and it feels safer if they fall. Colors are fun. Very difficult to put together. Takes two people and instructions are not the clearest.

Pretty heavy duty and solid, not too large and kids can climb on it. Good as part of a larger set. Assembly was pretty straight forward

    • Sturdy and fun!
I hated putting this thing together. It's definitely a two person job and was difficult for us to do. However, after we got it done it was super sturdy and the kids had so much fun playing on it! It's great quality and surprisingly doesn't get too hot in the sun.

    • Tough & frustrating to assemble - but once that was over a solid, fun structure for the kids.
Really Fun for my 5 Year Old…but Really Tough Assembly. Pros: My 5 year old loves climbing on this dome. It’s big enough that it challenges her, but thanks to the cargo net in the middle she is able to safely drop down from the top. We also really enjoy laying in the center cargo net and relaxing as if it is a hammock. The white and teal color for the bars are aesthetically pleasing and the rainbow net is fun. Watch-Outs: Although my child plays gently, I find we are constantly reminding other children not to jump in the cargo net. Although it seems stable, I do worry that if a toddler treats it like a trampoline it would break. Additionally, they need to be pretty careful standing up or climbing out of the cargo net, because they can very easily hit their head on the bars. The largest con is assembly. The printed instructions were not very clear and we had to re-watch the video from the Amazon listing multiple times. Assembly requires two people and lots of time and patience - it was a bit of a frustrating experience even for a seasoned Do-It-Yourself-er. It would have been next to impossible to assemble with the enclosed tools (Allen wrench). We used a ratchet socket wrench with the appropriate hex head driver instead of the included hex head/Allen Key wrench - this helped to minimize the assembly time and frustration. (A drill with the right hex head driver might have worked also.) ... show more

    • Really Great Addition to Backyard but Brutal Assembly
The kids have wanted one of these for a long time, so we finally decided to buy this dome. Aesthetically it is very pleasing to the eye and light colored so sunlight does not heat the bars up too much. The box was about 40lbs. And all parts were packaged well. That’s where the fun ended. The instructions are very poor and not easy to follow. You will need at least 1 extra set of hands if not 2 and a wide open space for the install. I recommend a drill with the same size Allen key bit as the wrench that’s provided. Tightening over 60 bolts by hand will be torture. Overall this will take you about 2.5 hours to assemble. The hammock is an awesome addition and the kids instantly gravitated towards it. It also provided a layer of fall safety from the top of the dome. Overall if you’re in the market for a play dome, I highly recommend this one, just have some extra help on deck! ... show more
