    • Headboard assembly was a nightmare, but everything else is great

This took quite a lot more assembly than I expected, but the end result is nice. Assembly took most of the morning, with a lot of that time dedicated to a nightmare that was just step 2 and 3- assembling the headboard. The holes were not aligned, so even with two grown adults and me trying to align and thread the screw in, we could not do it entirely. After hours of trying, one part was jammed with a spare screw from another building project and we're hoping it holds. We'd put too many scratches and flaws on the bars to return it by then. The rest of the assembly went by just fine once we recovered from the exertion and frustration. We had everything we needed and it was all clearly labeled- including a thing of spare nuts and bolts. The finished product is why I left most of the stars intact despite such frustrating assembly issues. It was nice and sturdy, and as promised, I was able to get rid of the old box spring. Three grown adults did a weight test of about 900 pounds, and it did not sag, move or creak. It is also light enough for me to pull away from the wall with one hand to clean and fix sheets. So overall, hated assembly with a passion, but it was worth the time and sweat. Still I have gotten frames from this site with similar sturdiness for far less effort. Whether or not I would recommend the full bed frame heavily depends on your tolerance for winging assembly issues. ... show more

Very nice and sturdy heavy duty bed frame. Exactly what i was hoping for! We have several heavyset family members and i wanted them to feel more than secure and comfortable when staying over, i didnt want anything with a low weight capacity and i didnt want anything that had thin metal bars or made a ton of creaking noises. This feels very safe and strong and doesnt make noise. The headboard has a cushioned pad on it for comfort which is nice. I especially love how high it is because you get so much storage space that would otherwise go unused and wasted. In choosing to store my baby clothes and maternity clothes/ baby items that we will use i. The future but right now are taking up prime real estate in the house. This bed frame was easier to assemble than it looked at first glance and took around 45 minutes from start to finish. All of the various rods fit together and well, the instructions were clear and no hardware was missing for assembly. I’m pretty happy with the final result; the headboard has a nice, padded headrest and I think it’s a pretty nice looking, if basic, bed frame. It fits a twin mattress well, is a nice height and I like the amount of storage space underneath the frame that it allows. This is a really solid bed frame. It's very sturdy and stable. Assembly required some focus, but was definitely doable. The frame looks nice, with a powder coated finish. I am recovering the padded headboard insert to customize for our decor, it's really easy to do. Plenty of storage space under the bed, if you need it. This is a really good bed for the price.
