We purchased an older house with plans to renovate over the next year. The kitchen counters are white tile and the grout was dirty brown. The cabinets and counters are one of the last renovations we will make so I purchased these to attempt to make the kitchen less of an eye sore for the time being. With little expectations and nothing to lose, I cleaned the counters and began. The counters are about 68 sq ft. I did 2 coats with 3 packs and have some left for touch ups. The results are impressive! These counters went from outdated and plan gross looking to looking new, clean and modern. I actually kind of like them now! After cleaning the grout line with the brush included. I did my first coat along each line. My grout lines are thinner than the tip so a small amount did get on the tile edges. I waited 20 minute then ran a rag up and down all edges to remove the pain on the edges. It came off the edges very easily. The grout lines looked great after just the first coat but there were a few spots the paint didn’t settle into well. 2 days later I did the second coat and the coverage dried perfect. It has been 3 weeks now and the grout is still perfect. The grout lines have not been affected so far by cleaning the counters, spills ect. Tip- use a damp rag to wipe tile immediately after applying a strip to avoid wavy or uneven lines. It takes off very little paint off the grout, but all the excess paint off the tile. And gives a more natural effect to the grout since it does take off a tiny bit of the paint. Plus speeds up application time since you don’t have to paint with precision Took 1 1/2 pens to do my bathroom. This worked wonders and made such a huge difference. Light gray- thick tip. I had yellowed and stained grout in my shower and tried all sorts of bleach and baking soda and cleansers to make it look presentable for guests. Nothing worked. I bought this out of desperation and was shocked that it worked really well. Its almost like a magic marker that dispenses paint. The white paint stuck to the grout and wiped off the tile and it has survived many showers since. Its a great choice to easily spruce up a tile area. ... show more

We were dumb and put white grout in our half bathroom. We used stain blocker in it, but it still yellowed and looked dirty quickly. It looked awful. I decided to change the color of the grout to a gray which really made the marble pop. That bathroom looks a million times better. I can’t get over the difference. The nib doesn’t keep the original shape well, but it still worked. My bathroom is tiny and I used a pen and a half. Even if I had to buy 10 pens, it would be worth it for the difference. This is just a paint pen, but it looks great. I would highly recommend this for covering stained grout and/or changing your grout color. I’m thrilled with my results. ... show more

This would be 5 stars if it had stain blocking—HUGE visual improvement to grout lines that were stained vivid blue by a leaking toilet bowl time release cleaning cube. I mean BLUE DYE everywhere. I tried 4 serious cleaning products and the grout was permanently blue so decided to try paint. The dye was many months old so technically dry. The pen was easy to use and one pen with one nib lasted the entire project 4’x8’ floor—i used 8 applications on some lines. I do have leftover nibs and pen for future touch ups 1 coat made a difference but it does not have a stain sealer so the blue dye would bleed thru as it dried. Probably would not have been as much an issue with just a grimy surface. I used about 8 coats over 3 days on the worst areas to get my final results which i can live with happily. All my work was on the floor so gravity helped the paint feed nicely. Couldnt say how a wall would be. Also my tiles were white and had a tiny white margin which made a big difference in how good the white paint looked because it masked any sloppiness. A dark tile would have been much harder for this perfectionist. You do need a steady hand. Overall a win! Ive included before and after pics. ... show more
