This mascara works good. It is brown but a nice subtle brown and not overly dark. I did notice that it is a little thinner, I think. The product seemed to have a lot of excess on the tip when I would pull it out of the bottle compared to other mascaras I have used. I am unsure if this is from the conditioning part of it, or what. Either way, the product when on nice and smooth. No clumping, etc. It didnt seem to really plump my lashes but more give them a nice coating of color. 10/10 would recommend.     • Subtle color but strong smell
My first impressions upon opening this mascara was that the smell is quite strong compared to other mascaras I have used. There was also no seal to the box or mascara itself. I did like that the brown color appeared more subtle on my lashes than the traditional black ones I have used but found it to be a bit on the clumpy side when applying more layers. I like the idea of a conditioning mascara but wasn't a big fan of this one due to the smell. ... show more

    • Great mascara with no clumps
This mascara is a little hard to get used to at first. The container itself is metal, not plastic like most brands use. Also, the wand is a bit shorter than most. Also, it's brown and not black. When I was young, I used to always use "brown-black" mascara because my hair and lashes are such a light color that black just seemed too dramatic. This reminds me of that color. I really like the brown color, it's not as dark as black mascara and works well for me. This went on easily, once you get used to the shorter wand. Though I had to use several coats to get the look I wanted, it didn't clump, which is amazing. It also purports to condition your lashes, so that can't be a bad thing. Wow, I’m pleasantly surprised with this brown mascara! I’ve seen lots of women on TikTok rave about how natural brown mascara can look, which is exactly why I’ve never tried it. I usually want BOLD, rich black lashes that look as fake as possible. 😅 I’ve tried the black GrandeMascara before and wasn’t that impressed, probably because it was a sample tube… and the color wasn’t very dark. I decided to try this to see if it went with my new copper balayage, and I’m shocked at how much it brings out the eye color! They look so much greener. The wand is great. No clumps. Long, defined lashes with a little curl (that actually lasts). Zero smudging. I didn’t even make a mess on my oily lids as I applied it! If nothing else, the peptides and everything in this mascara will probably be good for my aging lashes. I might use this as a daily mascara, but when I need BOLD black, I’ll use it as a primer or first coat & layer black on top. I tried that with my IT Cosmetics mascara and was blown away. This one is so good at defining and giving my lashes a soft, wispy look, and the IT on top gave them even more length and drama. TIP: try different eye liner colors with it! Dark brown looked cool, as did plum, taupe, and olive green. Black is too contrasting. Just try it! It’s so good 👍🏼 UPDATE: I forgot to mention I’m using a lash serum! I used to use GrandeLash but it makes my lids have a red line. Now I use Babe Lash and it seriously lengthened, darkened, and thickened my lashes in less than a few weeks. 😳 ... show more

    • Natural looking brown lashes
I like the look of this brown mascara. It’s very natural, and I think it would be very suitable for people with lighter hair. This mascara has a wand with short bristles to give the eyelashes a natural appearance and comb through each eyelash. I find that this mascara gives my lashes a very natural look. It lengthens my eyelashes without clumping it. I also noticed that this mascara holds a curl all day. It’s also very easy to wash off at the end of the day, but it never smudges throughout the day. I like this mascara and I recommend it, but I think I would get it in black next time. ... show more

This is just an average mascara. Nothing extraordinary, but not terrible either. I like the metal tube it comes in and the short wand doesn't bother me. I have to apply about 3 coats to get my eyelashes to look like there is any sort of mascara on them. This is more of a natural looking mascara. It doesn't create thick lashes, but I do feel like they look longer. I didn't have any clumping issues. I wouldn't repurchase as this product isn't really the one for me, but if you like natural lashes, then you may like this one! You do need several coats though! ... show more

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this made me love mascara again. All of the formulations and singular black colors lately have been really lacking and this formula, brush and color combo is somehow just perfect. It goes on like a dream layer after layer. It's not even a waterproof mascara and it made it through my baby's kindergarten graduation where it was hot as heck and tears were dabbed.     • Lasts well, doesn't smudge
I was hesitant to get this because typically non waterproof mascaras end up just rubbing and flaking off and I look like a racoon after a couple of hours because it reacts with my face moisturizers and transfer to my undereyes. This one doesn't do that. It stayed put all day even though it's not waterproof. Even if I splash water on my face, it stays put. The color is brown, but it's a nice dark brown. I have blonde hair and typically wear blackest black, so the brown was a change but it is still dark enough to look how I want. The packaging is a little odd, I can't say I'm a fan of the metal packaging. I prefer plastic. The brush is a good one, it doesn't bend when you use it, and it has bristle that grab the eyelashes and coat them easily. It builds up in a few coats without looking clumpy.
