The 2 cups is after 1 painting. The green was used for a 10x10 and still is clean! No more muddy water, 5 trips to clean bowls, and no more nasty brushes! Does not leak. Only con is large brushes will have to be hand washed still. Great for small acrylic paintings (up to at least a 10x10 without having to clean) and especially water colors. . Overall, this works okay. After using it a few times, the spring that closes the water trap doesn’t function well and I have to pull the water release button back in place…which is a pain. If I forget and take a break or allow paint to dry, all the clean water drains out. Again, very cute and a good idea for cleaning while painting…if you are using it constantly. I bought this for myself (64 year old woman). Seems silly when a glass of water does the same.... except it does not! lol. This held water in the to top reservoir without leaking ... ever. Only a small amount of water is allowed to drain and fill cleaning area. With its 'rough' sides enabling the paint brush to be scoured as it is rinsed. Then with push of button, dirty water drains into the bottom and the top refills! I did a whole lot more painting WITHOUT having to constantly change the glass of water because it was too dirty from black or blue paint! Pretty nifty little item! PLUS my cat thinks it is a cool water receptacle (as long as the water is clean! lol) ... show more

I was really excited to try this since changing water between colors gets tedious after awhile but this wasn’t the solution I wanted. The little jug for water has a twist on top but the cap for it doesn’t twist on so it’s super lose and can easily get knocked over. Then the little pool for brushes leaks slightly so it’s constantly refilling itself and running out of water fairly quick. It’s a nice idea in theory but this ain’t any better than a red solo cup with water in it ... show more

So yes this has issues once you put it together. Sometimes the water well completely overflows and makes a nice mess. Also the topper on the water bottle wouldn't stay on so I ended up taping it on. Which helped solve the over flow issues. But I also put a short wall around the well of apoxie sculpt to help keep the water in. So far everything I've done has fixed the over flow issue. But then I look into the water basin and see that the springs are exposed to the water...... maybe there should be a redesign? It's a super cute idea but needs more time on paper before being made. Yes I am happy with mine. It's great for water color and when using small brushes and acrylics. ... show more

Hondo approves of this brush was pot as a water dispenser for his thirsty needs. However, I bought it to wash my paint brushes out between colors. I love this little pot, easy to use, fill and empty. I lost the rubber “O” ring but it still works without leaking. Great for people who paint and for cats that are thirsty. ... show more
