  • Stronger than expected
I ordered this to put on a temporary plexiglass window I had glued-on to the rear side of a badly damaged Jeep hardtop (while awaiting a new replacement hardtop which is hopelessly backordered). I had to deviate from the instructions and install it on the EXTERIOR of the window right before a 4-day Jeep/4x4 trip where we were hitting some pretty challenging 4x4 trails. I honestly thought as soon as we hit any tight trails with trees brushing the side (we call that "free pinstriping") the film would start tearing off. So for the first couple days I tried hard not to scrape any trees on that side of the Jeep. However, when brushing trees there became impossible to avoid, I saw no ripping or tearing of the film at all. Pretty much looks exactly like it did before we left--and at least one trail was similar to a jungle, with way overgrown trees unavoidable on both sides. I am very impressed with its durability, especially when used contrary to instructions. Installation itself wasn't super hard, once I figured out how I would get it reversed from what the instructions said. I filled a spare spray bottle with water and a bit of baby shampoo, and used nearly the entire spray bottle—glad I had a window squeegee (a slightly smaller one would have been better). Definitely was a two person job to keep the film from sticking to itself (lots of spray helps with that too). If I was tinting a permanent window I wouldn't have been satisfied with my first attempt (a couple crinkles that I couldn’t smooth out), but since the top is now mostly duct tape anyway, I was fine with how the tint looked. I had assumed that I would use the 1/2 roll I saved to do it again when I returned from the trip, but it looks fine so I plan to keep my first try as long as I have to keep this damaged top on. I can’t attest to how easy this would have been had I really been trying to do it “right” and make it look professional, as I didn’t care about making this look perfect. ... show more

  • Thin but for the price, perfect
Color: 20% Limo Black
It is hard to work with so definitely buy extra, but overall when installed it looks good and seems to be decent quality. Not as dark as I expected but plenty dark to keep the car a bit cooler. 1 roll is enough to do about 2 normal sized windows but as I said buy extra because you will have to get used to the material. No complaints overall though ... show more

  • Awesome, Affordable, good for newbies, would buy again
Okay, so... To start, I am not a professional when it comes to tinting... At all. This stuff is very thin, kind of hard to work with, it's not impossible though. I've bought 4 rolls of this stuff, and probably will continue buying it. I installed it all the way around my 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. (Yeah, not necessarily legal, but...) THIS STUFF IS VERY DARK! When they say limo, they mean limo, you can BARELY BARELY BARELY see inside, and that's when the sun is shining perfectly trying to light up the whole car, lol. Being inside makes it very cozy, I love it. Very dark inside. Ever have that jerk driving behind you at night with his brights on? Ever had that 7 p.m. at night sun on the drive home from work, right in your eyes? Yeah, say goodbye to all that with this tint. Also, for newbies, this is a very good starter deal, because, it's so cheap, you can buy roll after roll after roll, if you mess up and not break the bank, 50 bux and you can screw up a window 3 - 4 times and still be able to tint the rest of the car, lol. pretty much 1 roll can do 1 side of the car, considering it's a 4 door, like my lancer, (Including that tiny triangle like window in the rear) so, 3 rolls, 1 for each side, 1 for the rear window. ... show more

  • Buy more than you need when starting out
First and foremost understand this is a DYI solution. By no means is it intended to compete with professional products and if you're starting off you cannot compare yourself or your products to someone is does this EVERY SINGLE DAY A FEW TIMES A DAY. Buy twice what you think you'll need because you'll ruin something if you're starting out. Stay ways from direct sunlight because the sun will bother you while you're trying to install this. There are many squeegee tools buy only what you need. Soap and water in a $1 spray bottle work just fine. Take your time and have a small table there with your tools don't put anything on the floor. Clean the windows before hand and don't get upset if it ruins the whole roll your first try. Tell your wife or husband to give you some alone time to get over the frustrations. Watch YouTube videos on the topic and don't diviate from the subject. The point here is that it won't be easy but just do it. By the way this isn't as dark as I thought but it's okay (5%). ... show more

  • The window makes a difference
I placed this on my rear window. Ended up cutting 1 main piece above brake light after a little shaping with a heat gun, and 2 pieces for each side of the brake light. This was a little time consuming, but for my first time doing this, I am amazed how good it turned out! Not a single bubble or crease! With my confidence soaring at my seemingly innate talent with the tint, I dove into doing the rear door windows. These are a whole different beast. I messed these up royally. I had fun doing it though, and I plan to give it another go. ... show more

  • HARD TO WORK WITH , NEED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
While it initially looked good, the installation process was not easy. The film started peeling at the edges after a few weeks, and it didn't provide the expected heat reduction. Additionally, the film faded and discolored over time. Overall, I would recommend exploring other options for a more reliable and easier-to-install window tint adhesive film. ... show more

  • Cheap, easy to work with but different tint colors
Color: 20% Limo Black
I bought 1 20% and 2 5% tint rolls a few months back. I was satisfied with the quality so I wanted to go darker in the front. Ended up doing 5% all around a month later but I've noticed a difference in the tint colors. My 5% tints from the first installment are blue with a slight blue tint visible from the inside. The tint installed a month later is blue by has a slight yellow tint visible from the inside. I know nothing's perfect but just a little input I thought I'd give. Overall this is B+ tint if you take your time and prepare everything correctly. I plan on purchasing again when I tint a friend's van. ... show more
