Gevi Household V2.0 Countertop Gemi Nugget Ice Maker - this machine is gorgeous. It fits perfectly on our countertop right underneath the upper cabinets. It's sleek design fits right in with our traditional kitchen. Love the door on the front which also serves as a tray for the ice container. This is a cleaner design than other brands we have tried in the past; with no water drops on the counter. The ice maker is easy to fill, and this is great - as we go through a lot of ice. It makes ice quickly and is quiet. The ice is crunchy and the perfect consistency. We love it! We did need to contact customer service due to a loud noise which started early on, and the Gevi Customer Support has been phenomenal to work with.     • This machine WAS a boss
UPDATE 2: After reaching out to the manufacture multiple times via email and the chat on their app no response was ever given. Amazon even tried to reach them and had no luck. Based on my experience I do NOT recommend buying anything from Gevi. UPDATE: bought this less than two months ago and it randomly started screaming at me when trying to make ice. Did all the things (defrosted, cleaned) nothing works. Now having to contact customer service and hope they are a good company! Had this for roughly a week now and it has been amazing! Followed all the set up instructions and it makes ice like a champ! It has run almost nonstop after opening and it performs so well! It is super quiet, sleek, fits on the counter top perfectly and the little cubes are pretty firm! It holds ice well inside the machine and it only cuts off when it’s out of water or the bucket is full. It’s hard not to chew on ice all day long! I don’t know how I lived with out this machine before now! ... show more

    • Wonderful ice maker and great company
I bought the ice maker as a present for myself on my birthday and not only me but all the people that visited my home felt in love with it, to the point that my fridge ice maker was never used again. But a month before the year the ice maker stop working, I was so sad, but contacted the company and they explained step by step what to do and how to send them the information they were asking for to see what was going wrong with it after I did what they told me, they replied right away telling me they were sending a new one. Not only the product is wonderful but it was such a pleasure dealing with the company, I recommend both100%, the only bad thing is that when you start using it you will never want anything else. I give the company and the ice maker 5 stars. I know that mine didn’t lasted long but things happens and everyone I know that have one have never had any problems and they have had it for a really long time. ... show more

    • Pretty Friggin Awesome!
As always, I read through a lot of reviews before purchasing this machine. I started out with the GE Opal Nugget ice machine and loved it, but from the beginning it made weird noises and would always just shut down…for no reason. I would exclusively use distilled water and clean the machine with vinegar once a month but always had issues bringing the machine back up after cleaning it. One day it finally just stopped working and I was left with a huge decision. Do I get another GE or find something else??? I mean, there was no way that we couldn’t NOT have the “Sonic” ice we got so used to enjoying. So I started researching and reading tons of reviews. I purposely avoided reading reviews for my old machine since I’d dealt with those issues firsthand. Then I stumbled on the Gevi! I’d never heard of them but my interest was picqued! I saw the reviews for the “awful” noises but I figured I’d already been dealing with noises so how bad could it be? The only noises I’ve really ever heard is the ice dropping into the bin. Well, I’ve had the machine for about 2 months and I love it. I haven’t heard any loud noises as described. Nothing as bad as my Opal machine honestly. I do have just a couple of small gripes but really they’re just design flaws. 1) I don’t like having to pull the door down and slide the drawer out to get the ice but only because I feel like at some point the door is going to get weak and break. 2) I don’t love the way you have to fill up the tank, it’s messy. What I have started to do instead of pouring the water onto the door is place the opening of the bottle against the outside of the ice basket and let it slide down into the tank. I understand that a side tank is probably not a great idea because I feel like some of the issues with the Opal stem from the tubes needed for the tank but maybe something else could work. Overall I really like this machine. It’s pretty and looks so nice in my kitchen!     • Loud and ice melts in bucket
Since I can’t do zero starts I have to do 1. I’ve had this ice maker for a few months now and I’m not sure if mines defective or not but it’s cycles 75% of the day. It doesn’t produce much ice and is very slow making it. It is very loud. I transfer my ice into a drawer in my freezer so it doesn’t melt. It has to be refilled constantly. I regret getting it and I’m past my return date because I wanted to give it a chance. You can’t turn it off while it’s cycling (which is all the time). Positives are it’s good looking.
