Got a pair of these for my grandson to be able to work on his arms while he learns to crawl and walk. His dad is kind of a beanpole, so I wanted the kid to get ahead of the game on his wimpy dad. He can do bicep curls, tricep curls, use them for weighted squats. Basically he can get a good dumbell workout in. It helps that he seems to like the rattling sound. They don't get slippery while he's trying to chew on them and gets them covered in drool. Going to have to work on his gym etiquette regarding the drool part. And the chewing. You will have to watch your little one for proper form. The little drool factories get stubborn at first and won't use good form for the curls and other arm exercises, so throw in a few muscle failure workouts to get the discipline up to par. ... show more

This is a cute toy for baby, and my son loves holding it and shaking it around. The only reason I gave it less than 5 stars is because it is made of hard plastic. My son enjoys shaking the toy until he hits himself in the face with it. It would be much better if this were made of a softer material.
