I recently invested in the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB Series (Intel XMP) 32GB DDR5 memory, and I must say, it's worth every penny. • Put your RAM in the correct slots!
Size: 32GB (2x16GB) Color: Matte black
Awesome RAM set. RGB works with ASUS Aura Sync. No issues there. I did have issues during my initial build while installing Windows 11 Pro. I was continually getting BSODs left and right. I was worried I had a damaged component somewhere. I checked the seating of the RAM, the motherboard, video card, nVME SSD, all kinds of stuff. 3 hours later I forgot about that damn Intel XMP profile. It seems a little counter-intuitive, you HAVE to run Intel XMP profiles in BIOS otherwise your RAM will run at something crazy slower, like 70% less whatever your rated speed is. Alas, I discovered the issue was WHERE I had placed my RAM. Most mobos will have their RAM slots in this order: A1, A2, B1, B2. I had them in A1 and A2. Seems like it should be fine there, right? Nope. Re-seated the RAM in slots A2 and B2, turned the default Intel XMP profile on in BIOS, booted to Windows, and checked speed with CPUZ-ID. Boom, RAM was running at its rated speed, 6400MHz. Ran several stress tests. No more BSODs! Hooray! System was stable. It’s 2024 ffs, we should be able to put RAM in any slot and be able to run Intel XMP without it destabilizing the entire rig. But we aren’t there yet, unfortunately. We are a few short time periods away from having AI overlords, but with this stupid crap I’m sure Intel XMP will thwart their plans for world domination. Not G.Skill’s fault. Their RAM runs great, if you install it correctly per Intel’s specs. SK Hynix DRAM, for those that care. Same stuff as Corsair Vengeance chips, just a fancy heatsink makes Corsair’s more expensive I guess. Buy this RAM! ... show more

  • Very good ddr5 kit
Size: 32GB (2x16GB) Color: Matte black
I had first purchased the 6600 kit. It did not go well with my asus z690-e. Had issues with bluescreen, several blue screen errors. No matter the xmp profile, I had just issues. Sure was a fault kit since I was able to boot and pass memtest86 using my brother's corsair 6600 kit. So I decided to try again but, in this case, the 6400 cl32. Installed the kits, cleared cmos, booted in bios, choose xmp2 and boom, working perfect in my system. Passed twice memtest86, no more bluescreen and the system is stable as it can be. I see a lot of people saying DDR5 is requieres fine tweek and bla bla bla. Fake. If you kit is under the memory compatibility list from MB manufacturer, it should work just fine with xmp1 or xmp2. If you are having issues like blue screen, failed memtest86 you have either fault kit or fault MB. Also always remember to have latest BIOS, firmware and chipset drivers. ... show more

  • Works flawlessly on my Asus X670E Extreme mobo
Size: 96GB (2x48GB) Color: Sliver
I currently have BIOS ver.1807 installed. It's from December 2023. Using the Asus ROG X670E Extreme motherboard, with AMD 7950X3D. Previously, I had 2x Trident Z NEO 32GB DDR5/6000 CL30 installed. However, I like more RAM so that I can work better with my 3-camera 4k video projects. It makes a big difference. It's well known that AM5 CPUs have issues with utilizing all four DIMM bays when going above 4800MHz or so (that's a ballpark reference, it varies widely depending on all other parameters (CPU tolerance, mobo type/tolerances, RAM bin strength, etc...). I used to have to do the following to get my 6000Mhz RAM to work: Install one stick into bay B1. Reboot, and verify that it works. Shut down. Install DIMM 2 into bay A1. Reboot, verify functionality. Then, go into BIOS and enable XMP for the rated speed settings. Ensure it boots, then test for stability. Sometimes, it didn't work. Then, I'd have to reset the CMOS and BIOS with the flash button, and start the whole process over again. For me, the latest BIOS update is the most stable version I have ever had. Many people online are stating it causes them problems, but YMMV. So with that said, I decided to take a leap of faith and purchase this RAM. I wanted to make the compromise of more RAM, but with 2x 48GB sticks. Decided to go for this. It booted in non-overclocked mode at 5400MHz with no issues. I rebooted. Then, enabled DOCP Profile 1, and after the next boot, it worked! I did extensive MemTest runs, and there were no hiccups. Very happy to have more RAM. I am even more delighted to have this XMP RAM work super-nicely on my AM5 motherboard. ... show more
