Very easy to assemble by hand, with no tools required, and it is mostly stable depending on what you put on it, but it does come with a hook and zip-tie to safely mount to the wall if needed for some added security. This black 5 shelf corner shelf is an absolute gem! Its lightweight build makes it incredibly easy to position, put together and it's become the perfect home for my perfume collection. Adding lights to highlight the display was a game-changer, imparting a luxurious aura to the whole setup. Admittedly, there were a few scratches on arrival due to packaging, likely from the items rubbing against each other. That was a little disappointing. Nevertheless, once assembled and in place, these minor imperfections hardly detract from the shelf's overall charm and functionality. In terms of its design, the shelf fits seamlessly in corners, maximizing space and adding a touch of sophistication to any room. These are the third and fourth towers I've ordered. They are easy to assemble, sized right and priced right. However, I was disappointed with the condition these towers arrived in this time. There were various scuff marks, scratches and other blemishes. There was no damage to the box during shipping and both products arrived in similar condition. They also inexplicably placed the "A" and "B" stickers on the face of the product as opposed to the underside. This made them difficult to remove. Super simple to put together. Though I wish the poles were somewhat better. The plastic they are made with just feel and look cheap. there are pieces of plastic that stick out from the seams that I'm going to have to file down or something. I have it sitting in a carpeted room - so I definitely have to anchor it. The instructions say each shelf can hold 10 lbs, but I don't think I'd be willing to put that much on them. Books or other heavier items I'd keep off of it. Right now I have it hold a jewelry dish, small decorative vase, small reed diffuser, and other small knick knacks. Overall, I am happy with it.
