First one never even made it to our house but was damaged in transit apparently so badly that UPS just turned it around and sent it back. (BTW, hate that Amazon cancels the oder in this situation and you have to wait on refund then order it again.) Anyway, shipping packaging on the second one was woefully inadequate and arrived with carton flaps open top and bottom and wires hanging out. That said, the product was luckily in brand new condition. My only complaint about the product was having to scrape off three large tables on the top glass plate - Tip: use a hairdryer and plastic scraper. Easy to install and heats up really fast, great to use - so still gets 5* ... show more

Bought this to replace our GE Profile. (my wife cracked the glass twice). not a lot to choose from or not available. I seen this and liked the design (large burners in back, small in front) wasn't sure about the controls in front. so far I like it as I do most of the cooking. I'm an electrician so install was pretty easy. Just wish the flex was about 10" longer. The big burner is BIG. I'm getting use to it and like it much better the GE. it's easy to see the knob being silver, a whole lot easier to clean and looks great. I got a pretty good deal on it and time will tell. Better off going to a store and avoiding the hassle. This item came with 1 burner not working. I have had nothing but trouble trying to get it fixed by Frigidaire. The part to fix is not available and on back order. It has been 1 month now, mind you I bought this new, notified Amazon and Seller 1.5 months ago and have been waiting for them to fix for over a month. I was sold a defective item.... and the seller keeps sending me to Frigidaire to resolve. This is simply not acceptable. I even bought the insurance! FRAUD... THEY SAID I CAN RETURN THEIR ITEM IF I PAY THE SHIPPING!... YOU SOLD ME A DEFECTIVE ITEM! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! ... show more

I was able to install this cook top myself in under 2 hours with the removal of my old cooktop taking the majority of my time. It works great, I love the controls on the right side versus in the middle like some others and it seems to work very well so far! The package did come damaged and I was concerned I’d be opening a broken cooktop like some of the other reviews but it was in great shape with no blemishes or cracks. The cooktop comes prewired with the electrical conduit pre-attached and all it took was installing the mounting brackets into the countertop, clear caulk and connecting the wires in my existing junction box with wire nuts to get this installed. Overall the dimensions and cooktop are as described and at the time I purchased this, it was about $100 cheaper than Home Depot. I should also note the delivery came about 4 days earlier than originally expected which was also great as big box stores don’t always have these on the shelves (mine didn’t). All in all, if you’re looking for a glass electric cooktop for under $1k I would suggest this one 9/10. We wanted a five burner cooktop with the largest burners in the front, mechanical controls, and controls on the side. Finding this one at this price was a bonus. We've been using this cooktop for six months with no unexpected problems. Cycling - When the biggest burner is on high as to boil water, it cycles on for 7 seconds and off for 10 seconds. This is normal and helps keep an even temperature. Scratching - To protect the surface from scratching, do not drag pots across the glass, do not use abrasive sponges, and cover the cooktop if you are going to put boxes or stuff on top of it. Cleaning - Use the included glass cleaner before first use. Remove the knobs so the the entire cooktop is polished. To remove dust, I just use water and a paper towel. For more serious cleaning, I use Dawn, rinse, then use Sprayway glass cleaner. Once a month I use Weiman glass cook top cleaner. ... show more
