I was hopeful for this. I got it and put it up in my cat went to it and sniffed it a little bit, but then something spooked him, and he ran away. He has not tried to get on it cents. I was going to return it, but I held onto it in hopes that one day he would use it. I will say this, I was worried about the sturdiness, because when I first put it up, it fell down several times, but it turns out that I did not read the directions properly and after I did and installed it the right way it works perfectly. To test it out a I put a 16 pound bag of cat food on top of it and it was there for more than 24 hours, and did not fall. If he never uses this, I can find another purpose for it. I really wanted one of these for my kitty, but I was worried about ordering one online. My cat's a little bit older and a little bit heavier than he used to be. I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I will say there need to be much better instructions included with the product. I had to look mine up online. Also I recommend that you follow the instructions to the letter including soaking the suction cups in water etc. IF you do this and don't skip any steps, it WILL hold. Keep in mind it is sturdy but it is not unbreakable so use a steady and firm hands to put it together but not a rough one. He is very happy and sometimes he is bullied by my other cat, so this is giving him a place to not only be in the Sun but be safe. Very pleased UPDATE: I have encountered a couple of small problems with this but they are fixable and I thought I would share that. It's been about 60 days since I ordered so it was not feasible for me to return or replace. My cat loves that bed however and so I was determined to make it work. AS IT SAYS IN THE INITIAL INSTRUCTIONS If the window is going to be cold that you are attaching it to, be sure that you take the GREEN SUCTION CUPS completely apart and then soak them AND the clear ones as well in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes right before re-attaching.. Wipe them off with a damp cloth so that they are not completely dry but there is no visible water... and then proceed. ESPECIALLY IF THE WEATHER IS COLD, it is possible that one of the green suction cups will unattach about once every 2 weeks. If this happens just REPEAT THE INITIAL SEQUENCE of cleaning the window and soaking the suction cups in hot water before reattaching. Even if only one has become an attached go ahead and do it to all of them at the same time again. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I HAD HOWEVER the wooden dowels coming out of the plastic piece that hooks them together. When this happens the structure of the bed falls apart and the cat cannot lay in it. I'm not sure why they come in two pieces, maybe it is for shipping purposes. But I read in another comment about someone who just went ahead and glued them both in to the plastic piece making one long wooden dowel. That is what I did and it has worked for me beautifully. And I suggest that you do this the first time it happens because if you keep putting it back together ( like I did) you're liable to end up with a piece of the plastic broken (like I did) and that can be a problem if you can't fix it. Be SURE before you glue them that you have the holes for the bottom section cups lined up where you need them to be and even with each other. Not only is the hammock cute but very functional. My cat absolutely loves it. We have floor to ceiling windows and the hammock is towards the top of the window. I will say that as my cat has gotten larger sometimes the suction on the hammock , combined with humidity will cause the hammock to detach from the window. This is still a great buy. My cat is just getting really big, but the Hamic is perfect for an average size cat even fully grown. My cat is just larger than most. ... show more

It definitely holds my 15lb cat. I have 2 hammock’s and he uses both. It is a little difficult to set up on the ends, may require a little help. I propped it on something to get the screws in. Make sure your windows are really clean and soak the upper suction cup per instruction. I’ve had them up for 2 weeks and 1 suction cup came off. I just redid the steps like suggested if this happens and my big boy is back in it. ... show more

There is a lot to building this, wasn’t easy to do alone. Also I wanted it to be simple and green, the bright blue acrylic pieces really ruin the look. Cat likes it and it suctions great.

I'm very impressed with the design of this window hammock, from what I looked up the ones with a metal cord are dangerous, I love that these have straps instead, my two cats love them, they watched as I set them up and jumped up right after I put them up..if they are happy then I'm happy..great product!! ... show more

Hard dot see the photos in the directions to figure out how to put it together, but I followed the instructions. When I went to put the dowels inside the green canvas material I noticed it was ripped, I had just pulled it out of the box. Not only in one place, but two. I really was looking forward to my cat using it but it’s not going to hold & not safe. I have requested that I get my money back, issue a refund bc I just don’t think this product has passed quality assurance. The company sent me a message & was very polite apologizing for the product & suggested I order a replacement. But that I should give them my address directly. I do not feel comfortable doing that. Instead, I would like Amazon to refund my credit card & I will drop this off at a Whole Foods as a return. I just don’t think it’s worth getting another one when the product doesn’t seem well made, at least at the seams. I’m not sure if it would have worked as intended bc I didn’t have an opportunity to try it out. ... show more

Our cat loves his hammock. At first I had it too high and they cant access from the sides so we had to put him in, I moved it down and he loves laying in it watching the view. What I dont like is the clips to fold it up whenever you need to could be stronger.But that not a huge problem.
