Description

This is a 3/4" Pipe Nominal Pipe size, actual dimensions are 16mm ID x 20mm OD (0.625" ID x 0.787" OD) , the smooth inner bore gives it the flow characteristics similar to other 3/4" nominal pipes. Comes with 2 fittings , the fittings are MALE 3/4" NPT thread on both ends . The KIT arrives with the brass connectors hand tightened , they are attached but not tightened or fixed. This is so that before fixing them to the existing network, you can remove them, apply a little pipe dope sealant on the tapered threads , and affix the threaded part to the existing gas network (no pipe dope necessary on the swivel nut or threads), ….then reconnect the pipe and secure tight the swivel nut. Not having the connectors tightened also makes sense though as depending on your application you can feed the hose through 1/2" holes through walls, etc. and once in place, then apply the connectors (which are large nuts). Outside Installation: gasFlex recommends that whenever the pipe is installed outside where it can be exposed to direct sunlight, it shall be covered with conduit to prevent continuous exposure. Inside Installation: Whenever the pipe is installed inside the building , it can be installed exposed to indoor light , or it can also be embedded in concrete, or behind the wall in dry wall systems as needed. Underground Installation The outer PE layer in gasFlex create a shield that makes it resistant against acid, alkaline or salty soil and alloys the system to be buried underground. CAPACITY: 150,000 BTUH FOR LPG GAS APPLIANCES CAPACITY : 140,000 BTUH FOR NATURAL GAS APPLIANCES

  • Great gas line
Great gas line, easy to use, lightweight, cuts nicely with pvc/pex cutter, good connectors. Used this in a shop building to run gas to a large bay heater. You must have a secure connection to rigidly mounted blackpipe on each end, this cannot be directly connected to a appliance. Cannot be exposed to any conditions that would melt it. For burial or in wall only. ... show more

  • Good quality for a reasonable price
Fittings don't interchange with all manufacturers, but quality is good and price can't be beat.

  • Very Good Product easy to use
this was very easy to cut and install. here are some actual specifications as measured O.D.= .798" - .802" I.D.= ~.625" O-Ring Size = 13mm ID X 16mm OD x 1.5mm cross section I used 1/2" IPS clamps and hangers to secure and 3/4" sprinkler pipe as a sleeve going thru concrete wall

  • Fewer mechanical connections
As a master plumber, I will always have some apprehension about a plastic line carrying combustible gas in the interior of a structure. Black iron pipe seems so much more durable, but you have more connections. The connectors they furnish with the pipe are not properly made. The threaded portion of the connector is too short; not enough threads to insert far enough into whatever is its companion screwed fitting. I have not yet leak tested to determine if this tubing to MIP will leak due to the short number of threads, but I will test carefully. ... show more

  • wrong dimension
It isn't 3/4" pipe it is 1/2". Pipe is measured by the ID and not the OD. This gas pipe measures .625 inches ID and that is 5/8". If you want 3/4" pipe you better buy 1".
