Exactly the jacket I was looking for, and hoped it would be. It is nicer than I expected; way surpassed my expectations. This was a scary purchase... there were no reviews yet, the images make the collar almost look too wide, and I really would like a removable fur color to use sometimes, as stated in the features list, but there is no image to see how it looks... that concerned me. Will a size large really be true to American sizes. The "Free Returns" gave me just enough comfort to go ahead and pull the trigger... wow... so happy that I did... Definitely a Keeper! If you like the collar as wide as shown you can have that, but the collar will also fold down to about half that width and stay put; I love the collar... it acts exactly like I want; stiff enough to stay right where I put it, to include the collar-back sticking up to keep the back of my neck warm. The way the button-on fake fur collar fastens onto the leather collar is perfect; I’ve never seen one fit this precisely and once it’s on, you wouldn’t know that it’s not the permanent collar. I can’t decide which looks better... fur, no fur, fur, no fur.... what to do. I have to say that the fur collar is not a quick-fix like one that goes on and off with snaps, but once it’s on it is a much more custom looking fit. The jacket couldn’t be more spot-on to what a size Large should fit like (I’m 6', 175 lb, wear 36" pants, medium 15 to 15-1/2 shirts with 34 sleeves, and size 42-44 suit/sport jacket depending on the brand), and I always wear a size Large jacket unless it’s intended to be worn over a bunch of other sweaters or other cloths to layer to stay warm (i.e. a big ol' authentic crew bomber jacket), then I go XL, but I’ll always wear this jacket underneath to make sure it’s protected (it’s that gorgeous). The size Large is a true American size Large. Pig skin can be too stiff, but it can also be too thin and flimsy. The skins can also vary from jacket to jacket within the same bunch, but I am happy to report that the jacket i received is just right... soooo soft and supple; it’s a lil' on the suede side as opposed to a smooth leather finish, but I’m still waffling between calling it suede or just a nice fancy smooth leather finish. Either way, I realllly like it. It is definitely the real deal though; this is pigskin with that really nice new leather smell. All the pockets are real, and sized and work correctly, except for the fake zipper pocket on the sleeve... it’s just a zipper; the zipper functions, but there’s no pocket... the pocket is only accessible from the top. Bummer I guess, but I no longer smoke, so I no longer have a need for a sleeve pocket; the pen/pencil slots on top of that sleeve pocket work fine though. The left inside pocket zips with a nylon zipper. I thought it odd at first and worried it’d scratch my phone if I put it there, but now I like it even better with the zipper. With the nylon, it does not scratch, and the thoughtful way it is sewn-in makes it so it doesn’t touch the phone as it slips in and out anyway. So using the zipper makes it impossible for my phone to accidentally fall out, plus the high quality of the zipper makes it function very smoothly so taking my phone out is just as easy as with no zipper. So, the zipper was a good idea, and I appreciate it being there as an extra safety feature for my phone. Looking the jacket over for loose threads and what-not reveals none (someone has already detailed the usual snags and loose threads), but I do notice the way the stitching is done and lil' details like how the zipper fits into it's lil' grove that appears custom-made just for it to sit in, the zippers, buttons, snaps, lining, even the thread all seem a-cut-above. The quality of workmanship is evident all over this jacket, and kudos deserve to be passed along to the seamstresses and cutters who produced this high-quality piece of clothing. Took a bit of a fling on this jacket during Black Friday sales. Read all the reviews and decided to go for it. I am female, 5’7” and about 140 lbs. I purchased the medium in dark brown. That color was not available in a small, so did not debate sizing. The medium is plenty big, might have been able to wear the small, much room for a sweater underneath. Length is below my waist, kinda looks like I am wearing my dad’s jacket - that is OK with me. Jacket is compfy and soft, stitching is well done and construction is excellent. The big surprise is how warm it is for a leather jacket, was not expecting so much insulation. Like the optional fur collar, I had to cut the buttonholes that hold the fur bigger as the buttons were too large to go through them. Contrary to some of the reviews, there was totally no odor to the leather. Well worth the price. Happy camper! ... show more

It has good pig skin leather and is a good deal for the price. It does not have many fancy features, but stitching, pockets and lining are all done very well. It very much has the style of a WWII bomber jacket, like 12 O'clock High. Plenty of room without being baggy. I am used to seeing jacket of this quality for twice the price. ... show more

I bought this as an anniversary gift for my husband. He absolutely loved this leather jacket but.... it has stunk up our whole closet.... for months. I really mean it. We have aired it out on days when we had clear weather, used some light cologne, and he has worn it out and about but it literally stinks up the vehicle. I love how it looks on him and the smell has lessened over a looonnnggg period of time. The fit was nice over all but the under hoodie is shorter on the inside so it is kinda off to have that part zipped and the leather open. The over all quality of the leather is fantastic, durable while maintaining mobility He loved the American flag inside the coat as well. I think it's worthwhile if you air it out 6mo before you give it to someone! (Just my 2 cents) ... show more

Size: 3X-Large Color: Dark Brown Hood
When I first saw this jacket on Amazon, I was skeptical, but the jacket looked so good I decided to order it. Glad I did! This is a high quality jacket, very authentic looking. It is extremely comfortable and it looks terrific. I was unsure of the sizing, so I ordered the 3X, which is a little big, but not to the point of taking away from the appearance of the jacket. I was so delighted with the jacket I've gone and ordered a slightly different version of this jacket in 2X and in a different color. No way am I returning this one, though. It's just too good! My plan is to wear the 3X in colder weather and the 2X in warmer weather without the hood. The only disappointing thing about the jacket is the hood. I'd have much preferred the fur hood that some reviewers have commented on. It didn't appear to be an option at the time of my ordering. Still, big thumbs up for this jacket! I have had a leather jacket for about 10-15 years! They wear well! That jacket had no hood and was very warm but with your head and ears exposed. You had to wear something on your head and your ears for them to stay warm. That jacket, if I remember correctly, was about $250. This jacket appears well made with a fleece insert and hood to cover your head and ears and is less than $200. Looking at similar products they are between $250-$300. ... show more

So I run a airport passport program in Arizona. As contestants fly around to different airports and get credit for those visits, prizes are awarded for attaining different levels. When they have flown to all the airports, they are awarded a flight jacket. I did a LOT of research before landing on these leather jackets for the grand prize in our program. Have to say, for the money, the are fantastic. Sizing is accurate as posted, the look is exactly what we had wanted, and quite frankly they are a really nice jacket for the money. You can pay more but these fit the bill in our case. I have bought 4 jackets as of this point and expect that we will end up purchasing 50 plus by the time we wind the program down. ... show more
