I wanted to love it as it's a solid build and seemingly heavy-duty stove that seemed ideal for camping with a gas option. On my first cookout with gas connected, I got an unpleasant surprise and a ruined dinner. The hose that is connected to the stove popped out of the stove during the cooking and set fire to campgrounds. Luckily I spotted that in time and the damage was minimal. Not so great. Maybe that would work as wood only option? Maybe I got the defective one but I needed the dual-fuel stove that can be used in places where only gas is allowed. This is not it. Try it as wood only option and probably you will be happy. Update: I have to admire excellent customer service for this vendor. They really do care about their customers. After they seen my initial review they replaced defective gas unit and so far I have not had any problems. That being said - use common sense and caution when it comes to gas appliances. I am changing my overall rating to 5 stars. Great device with great company behind it. ... show more

We bought this to use for Overland journey as an alternative stove and campfire heat when ground fire is not safe. We love this. Doesn't take much small wood to make a nice hot fire for cooking. Easy clean up.

Bought 1) emergency with no power/gas, 2) camping. We'd get it again for both. Must be used outside unless you have a spare chimney inside.
