The media could not be loaded. I bought this remote because it was the exact one it came with. I was right! At first it was not working properly because it would skip letters or options. After some research I learned you have to pair the remote to your tv so it can work properly. That is not explained. To PAIR it, the TV must be on, once it’s one press the return button at the same time press the play/pause button, for at least 5 seconds or until the device is found and paring begins. First you’ll see it will search for a device and then pair. You know when it’s completed it’s pairing when you see the battery signal pop up on your screen. Edit - do not buy the sleeker/minimal style of Samsung remotes whether OEM or replicas. Whether USB-C rechargable or AA/AAA batteries - they are all built to be disposable. I thought this was a Samsung flaw per what came in the box, but I know now after buying many varieties of this kind of remote over the years that they are just a cheaply made design. Between their bluetooth connection issues or the fact the main circle which will quickly degrade and eventuallly stop responding despite fresh batteries, I've had it. I have never had such a consistently awful remote control performance for a TV in my entire life. Do yourself a favor and stick to the older-looking, original Samsung remotes with the video game buttons on the bottom. They dont look as cool but they dont require bluetooth and the arrow keys last how you would expect TV remotes to last. I replaced all newer-style remotes with the older model and have had zero issues. ... show more

The HOME button on my old remote wasn't working, so I took it apart & broke it in the process. Don't try to take these apart. So I ordered a new one from Amazon, and received this, which is NOT an Amazon product. It did not come with batteries, even though the included copy of Amazon's user manual says it should (yes, they sent a complete copy of Amazon's user manual with it). And the usual pairing process didn't work, so I installed the remote app on my phone & was able to pair it. Now it works fine, except (!!) the home button doesn't work. This remote worked fairly well for the first week or two, then just absolutely crapped out. Buttons work maybe 60% of the time, and when they do work, you've moved up/left/etc 4-5 times instead of once. Should never have spent money on this. Don't buy!
