This cat tree is everything I wanted and hoped for in a cat tree. It is made well and very sturdy. Directions were easy to follow and it went together very nicely. It's good quality and feels quite solid. Nice that you can wash all of the plush pieces, too. In addition to the quality, I like that it doesn't scream cat tree. It blends with my wood furniture and has a cool and different look. My cat 100% agrees and loves it. I am very happy with it and definitely feel that it is worth the money paid. I love this cat tree!! All the cat trees you see in stores are ugly and cost over $100. This is a nice design and it’s held up really well for the last few months that I’ve had it. I have an old kitty and she has a hard time jumping on to it so I put a small box on the side of it and now she can hop on just fine. The measurements and photos are true to the add. My baby took right to it and she sleeps in it all the time and loves looking out the window. The cushions are soft and hold up well in the wash but do NOT dry them in the dryer. The first two times I let them air dry and it was fine. I put them in the dryer the third wash and little fuzzy’s got all over my other towels and now they look like Sherpa and aren’t as soft. (The one in the last picture hasn’t been washed because she doesn’t use the middle section.) She doesn’t use the scratch post so I can’t speak to that but seems like it would hold up. Putting it together was a little bit of a challenge and it didn’t seem sturdy at first. Once it all came together it was fine and not wobbly. I got this for two reasons: looks, and function. I have two female cats who weigh 11th & 5lbs. As far as looks go, I didn’t want one of the carpet or fake fur covered ones since they’re usually unattractive & my girls tear them up pretty quickly. I also wasn’t looking to drop hundreds on cat furniture. This is a great compromise that I’m overall very happy with. Assembly was easy; took me about 30 minutes alone & with no power tools. Just as with and DIY assembly, carefully follow the pictures & be mindful of what pieces go where. Although the wood isn’t real, it’s a nice dark color & it looks decent. The cushion inserts are surprisingly nice, although they are pretty thin as others have noted. They’re very soft nonetheless & the material is more of a cream color than pure white or beige which I like. As far as functionality goes, the main draw for me was the scratch post. My eldest cat is a vertical scratcher so the tall post is a big win because she can fully extend for maximum scratching enjoyment. There’s also a little square of scratch material that sticks to the floor with Velcro, but I doubt they’ll use it since it’s pretty small & moves around easily. The enclosed box is a great size & my slightly chunky girl fits comfortably. The floor panel for the second level cubby is pretty thin & might not be great for large or heavy cats. My only dislike is that the top perches are a little too small for the bigger cat, who is average sized, to fully enjoy. The little one prefers to sleep in cinnamon roll position, but my big girl is more of a sprawler. She still uses them, but they’re much better suited for the smaller cat as you can see from the photos. I did sprinkle catnip on the cushions to attract them since there is a slight factory odor. This is a very nice piece of furniture! Good value for your money. Very attractive and very sturdy. All you could ask for! It will be easy to clean. My cats won't give me their opinion,however they are going to love the view! Best directions for assembly I've seen in a long time.

    • Factory errors and flimsy, wobbly parts

The overall look of the tree/tower is exactly what I was looking for and looks great in my space which is the only reason why I still gave it three stars. I could not get over the multiple errors/carelessness that seems to have gone into the construction of this product. The directions were pretty easy to follow, however the parts, specifically the dowels, were not all the same. or correct, size to properly fit the holes. I had to use a hammer at times, and some simply did not fit and were unusable. The factory error was apparent. As I was installing the second to last landing/step up to the top of the tower, there were zero pre-filled holes on one side, so I had to remove the dowel and screw that was expected to fit into that side and hope that the connection through 3/4 sides would be enough to hold the structure together. The landing that serves as the roof to the cave is the most flimsy part of the product and I actually laughed when I installed it because I couldn't believe that it was actually planned this way. It's basically just a very thin piece of wood that is meant to lay on four tiny metal pegs that are placed, not screwed, into holes on the side panels. This piece does not fit well within the space meant for it, sliding back and forth and wobbling on the tiny pegs. This makes me worry that the pegs will eventually wiggle out from this movement, and the piece will collapse, my cat with it. Thankfully, he doesn't really use it that much, preferring the window sill behind it instead. So the entire product is basically just being used as glorified, expensive steps. I needed a new cat tree and it was very important that it had scratching posts. This cat tree has zero carpeted posts (that don’t hold well in my experience.). It isn’t gigantic and I appreciate that the fuzzy cozy pieces are removable and washable, too.
