I was looking for something to break up ground turkey (which clumps when you cook it). This has done the trick and was easy to use. Yes you have to put some force pushing down to break up the meat, but it wasn't excessive. It did not damage any of my pots or pans. I also tried it for hamburger and for mashed potatoes and it also worked well. You do have to rinse it off before putting it in the dishwasher or hand wash it as the vanes tend to hold onto the food. ... show more

The tines could be sharper but overall it's well made. The negative reviewers about meat sticking to this really have no business in a kitchen. As many of others have said, this works great and breaks down packages of ground meat for browning quicker than the old single blade spatula method. This type of product was brought to my attention on a shorts video online where the chef/person cooking used this type of spatula. I was worried this was going to be a product that looks like a good idea but in practice, is not, and therefore clutters an already cluttered utensil drawer. Not the case. Wife loves this as she breaks down ground beef all the time for a variety of dishes. Uses it all the time. Now there are several brands out there and they all look similar. However, some of the less expensive models appear to break per the reviews.
