I have very wide, neuropic feet. Along with needing wide toe box, we need wide opening across top of foot and across arch area. I can't even get these on. Have used other water shoes that was purchased from small stores to larger names stores and never found any that fit like a glove. Putting these little black water shoes on was like putting melted butter on my feet. They slid on and was contoured to every shape of my foot. I had several surgeons on one foot with internal hardware, and these shoes did not hurt my foot at all. I wore these on the beach, up a waterfall, over seashells, hot pavement slippery cruise ship deck and had no issues with the soles of the shoes. I bought the Red, however it's more orange than red. You get a lightweight slipper for using at the beach and while it's not as comfortable as a sneaker with padded soles it is exactly what you need for using in the water.
