I am new to mixology, and was looking for something to just get me started. This kit is great and would make a fun gift for a 21st birthday. Being such a great value for a beginner kit, it is reflected in the materials. The metals are fairly light, but this in no way seems like it will affect the usability of the product. It does seem like it would dent if it were dropped from high onto something hard. The other material that could be improved is the drink pouring tops. The rubber seems like it would be prone to dry rot, so be sure to store it properly and keep it lubricated. This is a great kit for the casual mixer. They kit works as intended, but the edges of the cups and stuff are pretty rough. I realized that when I was washing them. It kind of hurt my hands a little when washing the cups. Also, the smaller cup came with a scuff mark in the inside that can’t be washed away.

I purchased this item for my other halfs birthday gift. I wanted to budget myself this year due to the pandemic and just wanting to save money where I can. Every Friday we go to spend time with family which is usually drinking and cruising. So I wanted something to compliment the festivities and decided to get a shaker. We don't usually make fancy mixed drinks but 8/10 times we use juice and the liquor of choice for the night. It was a great addition to the night. Everybody wanted to try the shaker. It just makes you feel legit when we usually use 2 cups moving the drink from one cup to the other to mix. The spoon is heavy duty and long. I used it to mix a 2 quart powdered lemonade container. The toppers for the liquor bottle are smooth, giving ALL the bartender vibes. The flat bottle open is a plus but we don't usually need that because we get twist tops.
