I ordered this product after having been through numerous Physical therapy sessions for knee injuries and subsequent surgery. I have a work out routine that I wanted to incorporate the balance board into to strengthen my legs, muscles and increase balance. I found this specific exercise during PT challenging, but helpful and I noticed the more I did the exercise the better longer and better I could maintain on the board. This board is stable and simple and I like the handles. It works! If you haven't used a wobble or stability board or one in some time don't expect it to be easy at first, but expect for you feel it! It doesn't take long either to use it. It comes with a few suggested exercises, but you can do other ones also. I actually do squats on it also and twists and I can feel it! I bought this for my son who plays hockey and my husband, a stroke victim, who struggles with balance. It is a little smaller than I would have liked but large enough for my husband's sized 10.5 shoes. I like that it has handles on the side. I plan to attach some exercise bands that we have once they are ready for that phase. The rounded bottom is a hard surface unlike the inflatable types of balance boards and it does tend to spin when you get on to it. I would recommend placing the wobble board near something to grab hold of until you are comfortable with it. Once you are used to it, it is a good tool to use to work on your balance and stability. I saw a balance board for $120 called STEALTH, which advertised their phone game to entice the user to get fit while playing a game. I thought it seemed awesome, but I wasn't interested in spending $120. This was $30 and I figured I could still use the app with this board and save $90. That's exactly what I did, like 3 times. Unfortunately for this particular scenario, my phone just slides off the balance board and it's not particularly comfortable to rest my arms on in a planking position. However, this board wasn't made for the app, so I'll review it as if it was just a balance board. Which is exactly what it is. Pros: - Sturdy - Handles are great for push ups or for picking up to move off of the floor when you realize you aren't actually excited about working out and need it out of the way - I've done yoga on it a few times and I feel like my balance has gotten quite better - I ride an electric unicycle, and this seems to work the same muscles you need to ride one of those Cons: - I wish the surface had a bit more grip. I bought this last year during covid when i needed something to add variety to my living room workouts. This is great for balance work and helping building knee stability after a knee injury. It also spices up some push ups. Honestly I love to just hang out on it for balance practice while Netflixing. The only downside is that it is a little small. I feel like if the diameter was a little bigger it would help more for squats. You can do squats on it, but I am used to doing more of a wider stance for squats so its been tricky to adjust. I did accidentally buy this instead of a bosu ball but I don't regret it at all. If you are looking for a bosu ball for physical therapy maybe don't get this instead without talking to your physical therapist because it is not the same. But if you are just looking for something fun to change things up and help with balance this would work wonderfully. ... show more

I got this to help with a knee injury and to increase my gluten and core strength at home. I'm finishing therapy this week and wanted someone to use at home. I know that I can use it for a minute or two at a time. First the top is so slippery and the bottom was too on my hard wood floors. I had to put it on top of a yoga mat to use it. I also took off my shoes and tried it with bare feet and it still felt slippery. So I have some of those socks with rubbery grips on the bottom that I will try next. The platform is small. I'm only 5'4" and it's ok for me to do Squats but my hubby at 6'5" can barely stand on it. I will keep it and use it with a chair or next to a table to mount and dismount. I read somewhere that balance has something to do with ADHD. No change in adhd symptoms, but I do feel more stable after I've used it. It wakes my feet up. The first time I had a little trouble getting on it, but it seems easy now. But I hold on to something while standing on it.
