  • Made my hair so soft and shiny!
Style: Dry to Damaged hair Gift Set
For as long as I can remember, I have had very dry hair where it’s almost unquenchable. I switched to using a bar, shampoo and conditioner for travel. I wanted to travel lighter, and I was putting Faith in this product based on the great reviews I was certainly not disappointed ever since switching to this bar shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels so shiny soft and light something I never expected to come from my bar shampoo. I am very pleasantly surprised from this product and all the five star reviews are definitely correct, I will be purchasing this for a long time. It seems to be the product that actually moisturizes my hair. They are convenient to travel with, and they last a long time. I have been using my bar of shampoo and conditioner for about two months now and normally I would run out of conditioner and a month because of how much hair I have also using a bar shampoo and conditioner. It’s easier to make the product go a lot longer, and therefore you don’t need to use as much on your hair so maybe that’s why I don’t have as much product filled up with normal shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels way down and gross but with this it feels so light shiny and soft so consider switching if you have dry hair types, and like to travel . ... show more

  • St. Clements is the holy grail for combo hair
Style: Clarifying for Oily Hair
I’ve tried literally 20+ shampoos to try and tame my hair. I have particularly difficult hair (very thick combo curly/wavy, oily/frizzy medium porosity) and have been on a quest for shampoo that actually makes my hair manageable. This shampoo bar completely cleanses my hair of oil and product/mineral buildup and still manages to not strip my hair completely of moisture, which in turn makes my hair less likely to tangle and reduces frizz. I wouldn’t recommend this for everyday use but i only wash my hair once a week ideally to prevent hair damage. Within two weeks (two washes) I have noticed my hair is a lot more manageable and generally less oily. Even after a few days my hair is still not overly greasy. The bar has a mild citrus scent that is not overwhelming at all as approved by my scent sensitive family. The scent still lingers enough that I have gotten compliments two days after I’ve washed my hair about how it smells. The bar lathers absolutely incredibly, you only need a few passes of the bar through your hair and three seconds of scrubbing for it to start really foaming, my hair was undoubtedly engulfed in suds while I was washing. They are not exaggerating about the concentration of this bar- you really do need significantly less product than with conventional liquid shampoo. The only thing I really have any problem with is how soft the bar is. You have to be careful not to grip it too hard or scrape it with your nails or anything because it will dent. It doesn’t fall apart though! It can also take a fall in the bathtub as far as I can tell. For such a soft soap it’s important to keep it ventilated- a draining soap dish or equivalent is a must. Anyways, good product. ... show more

  • Great for touchy hair!
Style: Itchy and Dry Scalp
I have really combination hair and previously used dandruff shampoo, but this has been a fantastic replacement! I used to wash my scalp twice each time I showered because of oiliness and freshness, but now only need to wash once and my hair stays cleaner looking and smelling longer. My hair is less dry too! I've been using it for a few weeks now and the number of uses advertised seems to be accurate. Goes on really well, I just rub it on my scalp in a few sections. I'm definitely sticking with this product in the future! Hair: thin, straight, long Scalp: combination (dry and flakey after washing then quickly oily) ... show more

  • Like, don’t love
Style: Everyday Healthy Hair Giftpack
I’ve only used one other shampoo/conditioner bar brand, which is the Naples Soap company. I was so impressed by the lather and fragrance strength of the Naples brand I couldn’t help but feel that this duo fell short of that. I preferred the conditioner’s smell over the shampoo, which I wasn’t expecting - the Pinkalicious smell was only mildly uplifting, and I was hoping the grapefruit or vanilla smell would be stronger. The lather was decent in that it created a good amount of bubbles, but I didn’t feel my hair was getting as clean as the Naples brand. The conditioner was a nice smell, fresh and limey, and I think it did a pretty good job at conditioning and seems like it will last long! My hair type is thick and coarse, so perhaps there are better picks from this brand that work better for my hair. I’ll be testing out more bar shampoos/conditioner and maybe give this brand another chance, particularly because I have contact allergy to coco betaine, and the bar shampoos seem more absent of this Ingredient. ... show more

  • Lathers well!
Style: For Fine, Flat, Limp Hair
This was my first time purchasing a shampoo bar. I was not sure just what to expect. It worked great! It lathered up quickly after bringing it through my hair. It left my hair squeaky clean. I brush my hair the way I want it to go and let it dry naturally. Once dry, I run my fingers through my hair to give it more lift on top. I loved the way my hair felt when dry. It laid in place nicely. It felt a little thicker in texture. I liked the bar so well, I ordered another fragrance. It worked equally as well. I'd recommend highly to everyone. ... show more

  • better for environment, but I think hard water affects it for me
Style: Curly Hair
I've tried it a couple of times now. I bought the curly hair one. Definitely read the instructions, but when it says rub on wet hair, they mean rub on ALL your hair. You cannot just rub on the top of your head and get enough. If you have long hair, you need to rub throughout. I don't know if that's true for everybody or just for people with hard water like mine. Definitely leaves a "squeaky clean" sort of feeling, and I was really unsure if i had rinsed enough. Was afraid I would not be able to get a comb through it, but I did. Somebody else posted that if you have hard water, you will occasionally need a clarifying shampoo. I do have something that works after chlorine swimming, so maybe something like that. I'm not thrilled with the product, but it basically works, and I'm very committed to reducing my consumption of liquids in plastic bottles, so I will stick with this until I find something that works better in hard water. ... show more
