This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The monitor stand receives mostly positive feedback from users who appreciate its sturdy construction and the ease with which it can be installed. While it effectively holds up monitors of varying sizes and reduces wobbling, there are issues related to adjusting the tilting and the need for frequent readjustments. Despite these issues, it remains a popular choice for those using heavy monitors and dual monitor setups.

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a sturdy, easy-to-install stand that can handle heavy monitors and are willing to tolerate some difficulties with tilt adjustments, then this monitor stand could be a good fit for you. Its ability to reduce wobbling makes it an appealing choice for those using standing desks or dual monitors.

  • This works mostly great with my 32" 14 pound monitor
The built-in monitor stand I had was annoying. It was triangular shaped, with the 2 front ends of the triangle extending out about 3 inches in front of the monitor and the back end extending out about a foot. They were marking up my desk. They would interfere with my keyboard. Plus I just got a leather desk pad, and I didn't want the legs scratching it up, so with this new stand, I do not need to worry about that. This stand has solved the problem. I have a custom-made desk that is 30" wide, so I didn't want to mount the stand on the back of the desk and have the monitor arm extend out too far, so I choose to drill a 3/8" hole in the desk to permanently mount the stand. That works great. It was easy to mount the monitor to the stand and make some adjustments with the included hex wrenches. I was able to do it all myself without any help. Now I can move the monitor up and down with a finger. Other adjustments require two hands, but that is no big deal. I do have one problem though. When I try to tilt the monitor, the stand drops several inches, and will not stay where I want it. Also by the next day, I need to re-adjust it because it drops a little. It's always a fight to get the tilt just right. There is a hex adjustment but with my 14-pound monitor, I have had to adjust it as tight as it will go. If the monitor were any heavier, I do not think it would hold the weight. I don't know if this issue is particular to my stand or a problem in general. But overall I am happy with this stand. Now to clean my desk behind the monitor, instead of trying to move the monitor around to reach the back, I just lift it up. ... show more

  • I like to see you wiggle wiggle...but no.
In short, I just upgraded to a dual monitor setup, and though these monitors are well within the weight rating of the same pole-style mounts (Wali) I had tried before, I was experiencing significant wobble from the monitors when typing, especially when standing desk was raised. This ErGear nearly eliminated the wobble. It's important to note, in my case, the wobble is not entirely due to the mount, since the standing desk is on carpet, and my desktop is chipboard that's about 0.6" thick. There's really nothing a mount can do to completely eliminate it but thankfully this ErGear mount has made it usable to where I don't really notice the slight wobble anymore. If I hit my desk, it stops wiggling/rebounds more quickly than before. Even just putting it together, I could tell the quality was higher and better engineered. For one, the tilt adjustment/tightening actually works on this. I'm not the biggest fan of the cord management, it works fine, I just prefer the Wali's snap on cover on the lower arm vs. the screws on this one, but I guess it's more secure at the end of the day. I wish the cables were more hidden on the top arm, instead of the small clip, but it's a minor gripe and really my only complaint. I actually like the wider footprint of this, esp. since it's what helps to distribute the weight. Equipment details: Primary display - 32" 4K LG (32UN650-W, listed weight of 14.3 lbs. w/o stand) Secondary display - 27" 4K LG (27UL850-W) listed weight of 10.6 lbs w/o stand) turned vertically. Desk: Flexispot Seiffen with the 3 stage motors. I ordered a second one and returned the Wali. I'll be ordering 2 more of these for my wife for a similar setup. ... show more

  • WORKS for 32" Dell Monitors (purchased 2 initially, then purchased 2 more)
I have two giant 32" Dell Monitors and these work great. Once you get them dialed in they hold these monitors just fine. As some one who works with technology and related furniture you have to ensure that the weight of your monitor does not surpass its recommended weight limit. That one thing is where a lot of people mess up then blame the company for their error. Each of my monitors are in the 17lb range which gives me a 9lb buffer. Remember it is better to get an arm that is over kill so you are not taxing the components. The closer you get to the weight limit the more stress you put on the arm...over time it will degrade faster. Another tip I have is buy two separate arms for each monitor if your desk can support it. The amount of configurability you gain is worth its weight in gold. I liked these monitor arms so much that after I purchased the initial order of 2, I ordered two more for my wife's desk. She absolutely loves them and I gained some brownie points. All I'm saying is.....I had a very good night (wink, wink)! So in summary - this is definitely rated as a Good Buy! FYI: I buy all the products I review. I don't get any products for free nor would I accept them. I want the reviews I leave to reflect what actually people think about the product. I think reviews are a very good tool, however it is taken advantage of by a lot of people. ... show more

  • Great product, just what I needed.
I got this to mount a new LG 34in UW monitor in a blind desktop corner under bookcases and it fits using grommet mounting. Assembly is quick and fairly easy, with a couple of tips: (1) Dry-fit the mount and the monitor. In my case, the post needs to be fairly close to the monitor and my first attempt didn't fit. Not a big deal to drill another hole and move it, but made installation take a little longer. (2) If possible, attach the gas spring arm to the monitor first, then drop it into the hole in the extension arm. Some of the hex wrench adjustments were difficult with the enclosed tools so I used a hex driver to tighten the monitor tilt joint. ... show more
