The product is very well designed from an aethetics point of view. hence the purchase. Installed months after receiving due to delayed kitchen project, but in original packaging stayed very well. Looked sparkling and very impressive out of the box. Functionally not so bad either and didn't have many of the issues I now read buyers have had. Like the burner sizes and placements. That said, 3 irritating disappointments: 1. The base metal of the stove scratches very very easily and needs unbelievable care while wiping; specially the front where the knobs are. More importantly, the small circular pads that hold the grates come off easily, 2 got 'lost' since we never expected something just falling off, and the grates immediately scratched the edges of the frames. 2. One knob already started showing wiped off SS finish and shows black at a corner. Not sure knobs are metal as described 3. Ignition is a bit weird. While appreciated for its probable safety feature, the wait is too ling and needs the knob to be rotated after ignition to be keep the burner lit. Sometimes, largest burner needs a soft blow of air (by mouth) for flame to move from inner to outer circle)... which has become a joke in our family. ... show more

This unit was defective and i did not know when i received. i ordered the unit in advance (Feb. 8) and after i finish installing (Apr 20), find out 3 of the burners wont work. my return window already passed and i contacted manufacture for warranty. they want me to send them a video and explanation regards to the issue. now they do not want to honor the warranty, but they are ready to sell me igniters $20 each. the igniters in the unit works fine, because i can see them spark at the each burner. i'm not a expert, but looks like cause of the issue is faulty valves, not getting enough gas to lit the burner. Now i reading through online about this product line and lots of people getting same issue. 2 or 3 burners won't work. sometimes they stay lit when you holding the igniter, but soon as you let it go, flame goes shut. unit looks fine and igniter woks odd compared to others rangers. so please be aware of this product since manufacture wont stay behind the product. in amazon site, it shows 2 years limited warranty, now i have issues after 2 months and they do not cover. Update 05/15/2020 : After contacting Amazon, sent me a replacement unit. Set up and had the same issue. Then I found out the reason what makes the 3 burners does not work. The black burner tops can be placed in different ways. The middle one need to have a small one in the center and circle one on the outside. After that unit works perfectly fine. So just follow the picture in the Amazon site and manual is useless since drawings were not clear. I have removed the one star but keep 4 star for bad design of the black tops ( should be unique to each burner) and tech support try to sell me igniters without even a troubleshooting. I bought this cooktop when updating my kitchen in preparation for selling. I would not buy it for a home that I intended to stay in for long. The burners are laid out strangely. The "simmer" burner is in the front right, which doesn't make sense when you are cooking and need something to just simmer for a while without much attention. The large burner in the middle has awesome power and I love how fast it can boil a large pot of water, but it made noises like it was igniting while I was using it and after two weeks stopped lighting altogether. (Amazon is amazing and they replaced it when we called, so I will update my review after we install the replacement - maybe the first unit is a lemon.) Additionally, it is cool that it has 5 burners, but if you have a large pot or pan on the center burner, there is no way that you could actually use any of the other burners unless your other pot or pan was very small. Finally, it is awkward to light the burners. I have been cooking on a gas cooktop for most of my adult life and I have a difficult time getting the burners to light and stay lit. I guess it is a little bit of a learning curve since it has gotten better over the last two weeks, but I really don't think it should be that hard. (and I am not the only one in the house who struggles with this.) Bottom line, this cooktop is fine if that is all your budget allows, but if you have a little more to spend, look elsewhere. ... show more

Installed this on a Saturday afternoon. Some of the instructions are a bit confusing. They appear to have been translated into English by a person not entirely familiar with American English or even the Queen's English. If one is familiar with working with gas appliances, it is not an issue. If you're not, and you plan on doing this yourself, take some time to check out some of the tutorials on gas stove installation available on the internet before starting. Stove comes with fittings for both LPG and natural gas as well as a spare set of jets. The brackets included to secure the top to the counter may not work for you. They didn't for me. My counter is too thick and had to make my own brackets. Overall, it is well constructed even though it isn't as sturdy out of the box as something like a Bosch. Once it is installed, that slightly flimsy impression goes away. I didn't have to adjust the new pressure regulator (included) after installation. It was set appropriately for my setup. You will need to provide gas rated PTFE tape to seal the connections. This is YELLOW Teflon tape. Don't use white Teflon tape. Check your seals with soapy water to ensure you have no leaks. This replaced a GE Profile gas cook top. So far, I've prepared two meals using this cook top. I'm very pleased with its performance. The large burner in the center handled my wok and I was able to whip up a stir fry easily. Other users have complained about difficulty getting the stove to ignite. Remember when you first assemble, and turn on the gas, there is air in the internal lines in the stove. Open the valves on all burners until you smell gas to purge the air from the system.
