I love this toaster. It’s exactly what I was always looking for in a toaster but didn’t know it. It’s been about half a year and we love all of its features. You can store the cord, the tray comes out for easy cleaning, it even has a defrost setting. I adore the warming rack, I like using that for a croissant. The instructions show you the results of the different settings for toast, and I’d say it is very accurate. In my experience, toasters toast the bread and while the bread looks toasted, it leaves much to be desired. I found that this toaster works exceedingly well at doing its most basic function. My family feels the same way, it’s so silly to me because toasters are basic appliances but I never knew how great of quality a toaster could be until I got this one. We leave the heat level on 4 and it works well for bread and waffles. Since it does have 4 slots for cooking at once, the toaster does heat up in every slot. If you plan to only heat up 1 or 2 items, you can simply place it in the middle for even cooking and that works without issue. Another note is if you use the rack the temperature gets pretty hot so please use caution or keep an eye on kids using this feature. Safety wise, the cancel button works well and quickly. I haven’t had an issue with this at all. All in all, it was worth every penny. I’d say this is a great gift as well. My family has always had a toaster but didn’t really enjoy the food going in, it seemed not worth the hassle. First the similarity between this 40’dollar unit and the 70 ‘ dollar one is almost identical. The 70$ one is a Lofter . Not available anymore last I checked which is good but it does have cool looks like and old bus from the 40-50’s or is it 60’s ? lol 😂 Issues with the lofter is the long brace that holds the toast . Getting a thicker piece of bread like NY Bagles in there which are tad wide sometimes binds a bit but not bad. What happens is the doing 4 slices there’s no spring support on back side of the lift rack that holds the toast . After a bit they get bent down then you have dig out your toast . Bending back up is a temporary fix . Apparently after a few times the lift racks get weak and that’s the end of that . So far no issues with the new one other then toasting evenness . Heats wires not uniform along the plates .some uneven toasting . The Lofter was worse . How hard is it make a toaster toast evenly? lol 😆 What I like about the Lofter was the end controls you can put the unit anywhere . This unit not so much for me it’s I have it placed to the right of the stove . I prefer it to sit along the counter wall front to back but I’d have move to the right of stove to have access to the controls which I don’t like because it’s just farther away in the sense of convenience. I seem to have the knob turned to at least 4 to get some breads to toast to the level I like sometimes it’s needs more toasting . Not tested it past that point yet . I don’t use the warming rack Guy thing I guess lol The knob definitely needs a white dot on it . I guess we could get a paint pen or little dot sticker to put on it help see it better or any other method you might like to use . Ok that’s it for the Eliite Gourmet ( Elite hahaha that kills me lol 😆) 😊 so three or 4 stars you pic ! ... show more

Not only can you customize your darkness but it has the long slots so you can toast the large slices BONUS you can also toast the thicker slices it also has a warmer/ defroster mode this is the best toaster it is solidly made with what feels like thick stainless steel and the price is right also. For the price, this toaster ticks all the boxes. It's attractive, does 4 slices at a time, and toasts pretty evenly. I was looking at high-end toasters that got less right than this one does. I love the aesthetic of it on my counter. It looks high end. It's longer than most, so keep that in mind.
