This silicone food warming mat is one of the lower priced ones I have seen in the market. The surface area overall is 24"x15.75" and the power required is 350W (I didn't see anywhere on this listing the power for this, so I'm providing it here). I could imaging this running off a portable power station at that wattage (not sure why you would want to, but I guess you could go camping or something while keeping your food warm) The mat has little silicone legs that keep the mat elevated off the surface. The mat heated up pretty quickly, within the first minute. It only has three settings - 140F, 176F, and 212F. I only used the middle one for keeping our takeout hot. It didn't get too hot underneath, but if you go to the highest setting you might want to put something underneath. My parents always want to have their food hot at the dining table. This would be great for buffets or parties, keeping foods warm or dips melted. And the roll up feature is incredible for storage. I think it would be too hot for proofing or making yogurt. Pros: + Affordability + Rollup mat with velcro loop and storage bag. + Easy controls Cons: - That mat heating zone doesn't start heating until about 1.5" in, so your effective heating area is smaller than the overall mat - The heating structure is a looping one which means that there are some spots where the heat is less intense, so the heating area is inconsistent. - No timer (if you care about this) Overall this is a decent basic warming mat that is easily wiped down and good for keeping food hot. There are other ones out there, but they seem to be generally more expensive. ... show more

This tray will hold two dinner plates or four bread plates. It kept turning off at the two lowest settings (of three settings) but didn't on the highest setting of 212F. Using a meat thermometer we tested the heat directly on the tray and it never got above 155F, even after 20 minutes at the highest setting. However, that is hot enough to keep food warm, especially if you cover the dishes. It does fold up for easy storage but you really have to work at it to get it back in the bag. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This product is an electric warming-hot tray that is used for keeping food warm/hot that is foldable & temperature is adjustable. The tray is premium made of food grade silicone material that has a gray color & is wide & long with a 16in width & 24in in length. This product is really easy to use, unroll the tray & attach the cord to the tray & plug it into a wall outlet, then turn on the tray by pressing the power button located on the plastic shaped bar that has light indicator’s & temperature settings that heat up from 140°F, 176°F & 212°F. If you flip or look at the reverse side of the tray you will see that the underlay of the tray is ribbed for stability & you can see the uniform heating structure that is aligned all over the bottom in a neat & sophisticated way. The silicon tray heats up fast & is waterproof, oil proof mildew proof & incredibly easy to clean, also the tray can be rolled up & comes with a Velcro faster for fast & easy storage when not in use. I am the kind of person that when I cook my food I like my food to stay warm/hot while I am finishing up cooking the rest of the food or preparing plates etc as I’d rather not use the microwave ass often or let the food get cold while waiting so this product will definitely come in handy while I am cooking. After the first use, I noticed the tray heats up very quickly & the highest temperature setting of 212°F is very hot but still rather safe to the touch but definitely do not keep your hand or finger on-top of it & be sure to keep kids away while it is on & warn people around when it is on & in use to avoid accidental accidents/injury. Also, one tiny flaw I noticed is that after use, when you press the power button again & the temperature indicator light goes off the tray still stays hot & running so it is best to completely unplug the cord from the outlet & let it cool down, I was unaware if this as I noticed the tray was still hot when I thought I shut it off & left the home for 10min & when I returned it was still hot, so be sure to unplug the cord when done using this device.     • Will be useful for holidays
I got this to use for my family holidays.We like to put together a big spread and oftentimes it's hard to coordinate all of the food at the same time to be warm and so this should definitely help out a lot.It doesn't produce a lot of heat but it's just enough.I think that it should keep stitches warm.As long as there's spoil on top, it's pretty low cost.And if you entertain a lot it might be something you should look into getting instead of trying to get everything warmed up and everything in the oven just on time ... show more

I have get togethers on Thursdays and have foods for friends while we hang out. This mat keeps food hot in metal, ceramic or even plates. From, dips, to streaks on a plate, to rice in a bowl, to taco meat in a pan, this mat keeps it warm. It heats quickly and has several heat settings. I got this roll up warming tray for use at my office when we do lunches in our breakroom. The mat works great. Plug it in and it heats up very quickly. We have used it so far primarily for pizzas that we have delivered to keep the pizza boxes warm, and this mat does a fantastic job at that.
